✳️ *TOTAL 44 CARTONS/GATTA PETI CONTAINING 2200 QUARTERS OF DESI ILLICIT LIQUOR FOR SALE IN HARYANA ONLY RECOVERED BY THE TEAM OF SPECIAL STAFF, SOUTH WEST DISTRICT*

✳️ *ONE TATA ACE TEMPO USED IN TRANSPORTATION OF ILLICIT LIQUOR ALSO CONFISCATED*

     The team of Special Staff, South West District had recovered total 44 cartons/gatta peti containing 2200 quarters of Deshi illicit liquor for sale in Haryana only. One Tata Ace Tempo used in transportation of illicit liquor also confiscated.

*TEAM, INFORMATION AND OPERATION:*
      To curb the sale, supply & storage of illicit liquor in the jurisdiction of South West district, a team of Special staff was tasked to nab the bootleggers/ illicit liquor suppliers. The team developed information regarding active bootleggers & random patrolling in the area was conducted during odd hours to keep a check on such illegal activities. Accordingly, a dedicated team comprising ASI Manoj, HC Sumer Singh, HC Chetram Meena, Ct. Sanjay & W/Ct. Nirmala was constituted under the leadership of Insp. Vijay Baliyan, I/C Special Staff and close supervision of Sh. Vijay Kumar, ACP/Operations to nab the bootleggers.

         On 18.05.2025, HC Sumer Singh received secret information about a supplier in a Tata Ace tempo to supply liquor in Delhi. After final confirmation, the team laid a trap near Dhaula Kuan round about and at about 05:25 PM, one TATA Ace tempo was seen coming from ridge road towards Dhaula Kuan round about. The vehicle was signaled to stop but the driver of the said tempo hit the tempo in the boundary wall of flyover and fled from the spot. The vehicle Tata Ace tempo was found loaded with 44 cartons of ADS Fresh Santra Deshi Sharab for sale in Haryana Only. The illicit liquor was taken into police possession through seizure memo. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 134/2025 u/s 33/58 Delhi Excise Act has been registered at PS Delhi Cantt. The said Tata Ace tempo used for transportation of illicit liquor was seized in the case.

*RECOVERY:*
1. Total 44 cartons/gatta peti containing 2200 quarters of Desi illicit liquor for sale in Haryana only.
2. One Tata Ace tempo used in transportation of illicit liquor.

    Further efforts are being made to nab the supplier as well as the driver of the vehicle carrying illicit liquor.
