🔰HE WAS RELEASED FROM PRISON LAST YEAR & THEREAFTER HE COMMITTED SEVERAL BURGLARIES & HOUSE THEFTS.

🔰 01 GOLD NECKLACE, 03 GOLD CHAINS, 03 GOLD GENTS RINGS, 01 GOLD LADIES RING, 02 GOLD LOCKETS, 02 PAIR GOLD TOPS, 01 PAIR SILVER ANKLETS, 02 PAIRS OF SILVER BANGLES, 05 SILVER LOCKETS, 01 PAIR SILVER ANKLET, 03 MOBILE PHONES, 02 WATER METERS, 02 PIECES OF AC COOPER WIRE & 01 STOLEN ACTIVA SCOOTY, RECOVERED FROM HIS POSSESSION.

🔰 THE BURGLAR IS *PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN 21 CASES* .

🔰 *15 CASES WORKED OUT* WITH HIS ARREST.

The team of *Anti Burglary Cell, Dwarka District* has arrested one active & shrewd burglar - *Ankit S/o Guddu,* R/o Mohan Garden, Delhi, aged 26 years and recovered huge amount of gold jewellery, mobile phones, etc from his possession.

🟡 *INCIDENT:-*

On 21.04.2025, complainant *Yogesh Kumar S/o Bhanji Bhai,* R/o JJ Colony, Hastsal, Uttam Nagar, Delhi found his home ransacked after he returned from Gurugram, Haryana with his family.

The burglar took all his ancestral gold jewellery amounting to Rs. 10 Lac. He works in a Pvt. company in Gurugram Haryana. A case vide *e-FIR No. 80039410/2025, U/s 305/331(4) BNS, PS Uttam Nagar, Delhi* was registered by local police.  

🟡 *TEAM & TASKING:-*

As per directions of *DCP Dwarka Delhi,* the *Anti-Burglary Cell, Dwarka, Delhi* used to make regular efforts to identify and arrest active burglars and workout high value burglaries in Dwarka District.  

A dedicated team of the *Anti-Burglary Cell, Dwarka, Delhi,* under the leadership of Insp Vivek Maindola - I/C Anti Burglary Cell, Dwarka, Delhi, consisting of SI Vinod No. 947-D, HC Anil No. 1702/DW, HC Krishan No. 687/DW, HC Varun No. 1823/DW, Ct Praveen No. 1479/DW and W/HC Sonia No. 2802/DW was formed to execute the directions of *DCP Dwarka, Delhi* and to come hard on such criminals.

The team took note of the incident and responded to the grief stricken family. The team analyzed the CCTV Footage near the crime scene and saw one male suspect breaking the main lock of the house of the complainant at about 01:15 am and after committing burglary leaving the home at 01:43 am.

The team started following the suspect. The team reframed its strategy and started following his reverse route as well and found that he waived his hand to another person at Uttam Nagar Terminal prior to the committing of crime. The team then started identifying that person as well. Soon the team traced him as he was found working in a small restaurant in Uttam Nagar, Delhi.

He was interrogated and was shown the CCTV Footage of the male suspect after which he identified him as *Ankit Goyal.*

The team then conducted several raids at his hideouts in quick successions but every time he managed to escape at the eleventh hour. The team did not loose hope and continued its efforts

🟡 *INFORMATION & ARREST:-*

The continuous work of the team paid off when HC Anil received a secret information that Ankit above, would come to his hideout near Ambedkar Park, JJ Colony, Hastsal, Uttam Nagar, Delhi. The team immediately set up a trap at the said place. At 07:10 pm, the suspect was intercepted by the team on an Activa Scooty after which he was surrounded and apprehended.

He was identified as *Ankit S/o Guddu,* age 26 years. During his search, a huge amount of gold jewellery, 03 mobiles, etc. were recovered. *Accused Ankit was arrested.*

- *Ankit S/o Guddu,* R/o Mohan Garden, Delhi, age 26 years.

🟡 *INTERROGATION OF THE ACCUSED:-*

The accused persons were interrogated at length and it was found that he belonged to a poor family. His father works as a vegetable vendor and mother as a maid. He has 03 brothers. Having least interest in studies, he left school in 9th class. After leaving the studies, he joined his father and helped him in managing the vegetable business.

During this period, he came in contact with bad elements and got addicted to smack owing which he started committing crimes. Firstly, he started with petty crimes but gradually started committing bigger crimes and became a desperate burglar. He was released from jail in Nov. 2024 and again started committing crime.
