*Press Release South West District* Dated: 18/05/2025 ✳️ * ✳️ *TOTAL 38 BOXES CONTAINING 1900 QUARTERS OF ADS FRESH SANTRA MASALEDAR DESI SHARAB FOR SALE IN HARYANA ONLY RECOVERED.* The team of AATS, South West District has apprehended one illicit liquor seller namely *Shivam @ Shiva S/o Sh. Sanjay R/o A-Block, Manglapuri, Phase-2, Palam, Delhi, age 26 years.* With his arrest, 38 boxes containing 1900 quarters of illicit liquor (ADS Fresh Santra Masaledar Desi Sharab) for sale in Haryana only) have been recovered and seized. *INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION:* To curb the sale, supply & storage of illicit liquor in the jurisdiction of South-West District, a dedicated team comprising SI Ved Prakash, ASI Jaipal, ASI Vinod Kumar, HC Mohit, HC Prashant, HC Narender and HC Hariom was constituted under the leadership of Insp. Ram Kumar, I/C AATS/SWD, and overall close supervision of Shri Vijay Kumar, ACP/Ops. The team has been working relentlessly and developed information about bootlegging in the area of South-West District. The team also used to patrol in the area in odd hours randomly to keep a check on such illegal activities. On 07.05.2025, a secret information was received regarding the sale and storage of illicit liquor in PS Palam Village area. Acting upon the information, the team conducted a raid and total 38 boxes containing 1900 quarters of ADS Fresh Santra Masaledar Desi Sharab for sale in Haryana only were recovered from the jhuggi of Shivam @ Shiva, but he managed to escape at the time. The recovered liquor was taken into possession through a proper seizure memo. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 304/2025 dated 07.05.2025, u/s 33 Delhi Excise Act was registered at PS Palam Village, and investigation was taken up. During investigation, on 14.05.2025, the accused Shivam @ Shiva was apprehended and necessary legal action was initiated against him. *RECOVERY:* 1. Total 38 boxes containing 1900 quarters of illicit liquor (ADS Fresh Santra Masaledar Desi Sharab) for Sale in Haryana Only.
