🚨 *POLICE STATION:  MANGOLPURI* 🚨

In compliance with the directions of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Outer District, all patrolling units have been specifically briefed and sensitized to intensify surveillance against illegal liquor activities.

✅ Special emphasis has been placed on:

🔹Identifying and acting upon suspicious movement or storage of illicit liquor

🔹Carrying out intensified checks in vulnerable areas

🔹Maintaining high visibility and constant vigilance to deter bootlegging

✅ *OPERATION-I*

During routine beat patrolling duty, Constable Anand reached near Y-Block, Mangol Puri and received specific and credible information from an informer regarding illegal storage of liquor in a house situated in Y-Block, Mangol Puri. The informer further stated that a substantial quantity of illicit liquor could be recovered if a raid was conducted promptly.

Acting swiftly, Ct. Anand proceeded to the mentioned location. Upon arrival, he found the premises locked. Initial enquiry revealed that the house belongs to one 'R', who, when contacted over the phone, informed that he was out of Delhi and sent his nephew 'S' with the house key. 'S' arrived along with his friend 'M' and they opened the house for checking.

A thorough search was conducted in the presence of both individuals, leading to the recovery of 36 cartons (1800 Quarters) of illicit liquor of various brands.

⏭️ *REGISTERATION OF CASE:*

As a result, a case was registered vide FIR No. 493/2025 under section 33 of The Delhi Excise Act at PS Mangol Puri.
 

⏭️ *INVESTIGATION PROGRESS:*

During interrogation, 'S' stated that he had no knowledge about the storage of liquor in the house. Subsequently, the investigation team analyzed CCTV footage from the nearby area, which showed five individuals unloading cartons from a vehicle. During the analysis, the team was able to identify two of the individuals as Tarun@Banty and Ajay@Babu, who is a known BC (Bad Character) of the PS Mangol Puri and also found previously involved in more than 15 other criminal cases.

Based on this information, the team gathered intelligence regarding their whereabouts and conducted a raid at the Mangolpuri Y-Block and successfully apprehended both accused persons involved in the case:

Both the accused were arrested and all the recovered illicit liquor were seized as per legal procedure.

Further continuous efforts are being made to trace the other persons involved in the crime.

✅ *OPERATION-II*

In the intervening night of 12th and 13th July 2025, a dedicated team comprising HC Ajay, Ct. Vikas and Ct. Anup was deployed in the Mangol Puri area to gather intelligence on the supply chain of illicit liquor.

While patrolling near I-Block Gurudwara, the team observed a suspicious individual riding on a scooty, loaded with multiple boxes. On spotting the police team, the scooty rider suddenly took a U-turn and attempted to flee into a narrow street. However, due to the restricted space, he lost control his scooty and fell down in front of a house.

The suspect was immediately apprehended by the staff and identified as Pramit Singh. 05 Cartons having 250 quarters of illicit liquor 'For sale in Haryana only' were recovered from his possession

⏭️ *REGISTERATION OF CASE:*

Following the recovery, a case was registered under FIR No. 505/2025 dated 13.07.2025, under sections 33/58 of The Delhi Excise Act at PS Mangol Puri.

The accused was arrested and the recovered illicit liquor and scooty were seized.
