The team of Operations Cell, South West District has done commendable work by tracing/apprehending five Bangladeshi migrants including three males and two females, residing illegally in Delhi, namely (1) *Akash* R/o Village Shekhdi Donia, Jatrabari, Dhaka South City Corporation Dhaka, Bangladesh, Age 26 years, (2) *Chamili Khatun* R/o Mohalla, Machanipar, Ward no. 6, Post Office Nageshwari, Upjila- Nageshwari, District Kurigram, Bangladesh, Age 26 years, (3) *Mohd. Nahim* R/o Village Pani Maskuthi, Post Phulbari, District Kurigram, Bangladesh, Age 27 years, (4) *Halima Begum* R/o Village Balatari Union, Naodanga, Phulbari, District Kurigram, Bangladesh, Age 40 years & (5) *Mohd. Usman* R/o Village Mullaha para Balatari, Upjila Phulbari, District Kurigram, Bangladesh, Age 13 years. Fresh deportation process was initiated with the help of FRRO, Delhi after completing all codal formalities.
*INFORMATION & OPERATION:*
To prevent crime and monitor foreigners residing illegally in the jurisdiction of South West District, dedicated teams of Operations/SWD were directed to gather intelligence and take strict action against illegal migrants. Accrodingly, a dedicated team comprising SI Ved Prakash, ASI Vinod Kumar, ASI Dharmender, ASI Jaipal, W/ASI Sandhya, HC Mohit, HC Narender, HC Ravinder, HC Manoj Moral, HC Kishan, HC Prashant and HC Devender was constituted under the leadership of Insp. Ram Kumar & under the supervision of Sh. Vijay Kumar, ACP/Operations, South West District. The team was briefed for vigil patrols, ensuring effective vigilance and proactive measures against illegal activities.
On 13.07.2025, the team received secret information that some illegal Bangladeshi migrants are roaming in Palam Village area. The individuals were pointed out by the informer. Acting swiftly on the secret information, the staff approached the suspected persons, asked their identification documents, and conducted an enquiry thoroughly. The individuals failed to produce valid documents and admitted of being illegal Bangladeshi migrants who had entered India in the year 2017 by illegal means. They were working at brick kilns in Kosli, Rewari, Haryana. Recently, they were removed from the work by the owner of brick kilns. Due to this, they came to Delhi by train to search the labour work in Delhi. They only had photocopies of Bangladeshi documents i.e. national ID card of Bangladesh and birth certificate etc. Total 05 suspects were detained. After thorough verification and enquiry, the necessary legal formalities were completed, leading to initiation of their deportation through the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), New Delhi.

This successful operation highlights the South West District Police's zero-tolerance approach toward illegal immigration and their commitment to enforcing the rule of law.
