*EXTERNEE ARRESTED BY THE STAFF OF PS PALAM VILLAGE/SWD*

✳️ *THE ACCUSED WAS EXTERNED FOR 02 YEARS BY ADDL. DCP/SWD VIDE ORDER DATED 03.03.2025.*

✳️ *THE ACCUSED IS PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN 23 CASES OF THEFT & ARMS ACT*

    The staff of PS Palam Village, South West District has arrested one externee namely *Raju R/o Sadh Nagar, Palam, New Delhi, age 31 years.*

*INFORMATION, TEAM & ARREST:*

    To curb crime and ensure a safe environment for the citizens of the South West District, the staff of PS Palam Village was being regularly briefed to keep a close watch on active criminals/BCs and externees. Accordingly, a dedicated team comprising HC Munesh and Ct. Lokesh was constituted under the leadership of Insp. Sudhir Kumar Gulia, SHO/Palam Village, and under the close supervision of Sh. Anil Sharma, ACP/Sub-Division Delhi Cantt to identify and apprehend the externees by conducting thorough checks in the areas. Vigil patrolling in the area was conducted.

     On 11.07.2025, during patrolling duty, the team received specific input regarding one externee, Raju, who had been externed for 2 years by Addl. DCP/SW vide order dated 03.03.2025. Acting upon the input, a trap was laid and the said person was apprehended. On questioning, the accused failed to produce any court relief/stay/warrant or legal justification for his presence in the area, thereby violating the externment order. Thus, a legal action under the provision of u/s 53/116 DP Act was taken against him.

*PROFILE OF ACCUSED ARRESTED:*
    Accused Raju R/o Sadh Nagar, Palam, New Delhi, age 31 years, is previously involved in 23 criminal cases of Theft & Arms Act registered at various Police Stations in Delhi.

    The accused Raju was produced before the concerned court and externment cell was also informed accordingly.
