🚨 *POLICE STATION: ANTI AUTO THEFT SQUAD, OUTER DISTRICT* 🚨

 

*▶️BRIEF FACTS OF THE CASE:*

On 07.07.2025, the Anti Auto Theft Squad (AATS) of Outer District, while monitoring social media activity of local individuals, identified a youth who was regularly uploading reels and images on Instagram, displaying illegal firearms and ammunition.

Taking swift action, the team initiated further investigation. Using inputs from local informers, the team verified the information and confirmed the identity and activities of the suspect. A targeted operation was immediately launched.

*▶️TEAM CONSTITUTION*

A dedicated team from the Anti Auto Theft Squad comprising SI Deepak, HC Krishan, HC Deepak, Ct. Arya Deep Tomar, Ct. Avnish Malik and W/Ct. Tamanna was formed and deployed under the leadership of Inspector Rajpal, I/C AATS under the supervision of Sh. Narender Khatri, ACP/Operations.


▶️ *OPERATION AND INTERROGATION:*

During the operation, both technical surveillance and human intelligence were employed. On 07.07.2025, the team received credible input that a suspect who had been seen displaying illegal arms was expected to arrive at Phool Park, A-Block, Sultanpuri.

Acting promptly on the information, the team reached the location and after some time, noticed a suspicious individual riding a scooty. When signaled to stop, the rider attempted to escape by turning in the opposite direction. Demonstrating quick response and coordination, the team intercepted the scooty and apprehended the rider on the spot.

During preliminary inquiry, the accused was identified as Dimple. A cursory search led to the recovery of one country-made pistol and two live cartridges from his possession.

Accordingly, a case was registered at Police Station Sultanpuri vide FIR No. 469/2025, under Sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act and Section 106 of the BNS.

Further investigation revealed that the scooty being used by the accused was reported stolen, as per e-FIR No. 005057/2025, registered at PS Mangolpuri . Upon sustained interrogation, the accused led the team to the recovery of four more stolen two-wheelers, including two scooties and two motorcycles. These vehicles were linked to the following cases: Scooty 1 – e-FIR No. 0013722/2025, PS Bindapur (South West District); Scooty 2 – e-FIR No. 0012035/2025, PS Paschim Vihar West; and Motorcycle 1 – e-FIR No. 0016696/2025, PS Rajouri Garden (West District); and Motorcycle 2 – e-FIR No. 0016490/2025, PS Vijay Vihar (Rohini District). He was also found involved in 02 other cases.

The accused was arrested and all items were seized as case property.

Further investigation is underway to identify the source of the illegal firearm and any possible links to organized crime.
