ACCUSED WANTED IN ATTEMPTED MURDER AND THREATENING CASE APPREHENDED BY STF/SOUTH-EAST DISTRICT
One desperate & wanted criminal Jai Prakash @ Loli arrested.
Accused was wanted in a case of attempt to murder and threatening of eyewitnesses of a brutal murder.
One country made pistol of .315 Bore with 01 live cartridge recovered from the accused.
A dedicated team from the STF/South-East district, led by Inspector Shiv Kumar and supervised by ACP/Operation Cell Shri Dilip Singh, has successfully apprehended an absconding accused, Jai Prakash alias Loli S/o Mundrika R/o of Gola Kuan, Tehkhand, Okhla Industrial Area, Delhi. He was wanted in a case of attempt to murder and threatening of eyewitnesses in a murder case, registered at PS Okhla Industrial Area, Delhi.
Information, Team & Operation
The STF/South-East district had received intelligence regarding the movements of the aforementioned absconding criminal, Jai Prakash alias Loli, who was evading arrest in the case of attempt to murder and threatening of witnesses. This information was thoroughly gathered, and a vigilant watch was kept on Jai Prakash's activities. The team's efforts paid off when Inspector Shiv Kumar received specific information that Jai Prakash alias Loli would be coming to the Container Yard near the railway line, Okhla Industrial Area, Delhi, to meet one of his contacts and subsequently commit further crimes.
A team comprising SI Jitender, ASI Sachin Kaushik, HC Tarun Sharma, HC Kapil Kumar, HC Manoj, and Ct. Debananda was swiftly formed, and a trap was laid near the specified location. On the evening of July 1, 2025, at 8:45 PM, Jai Prakash alias Loli was spotted approaching the Container Yard from the railway line. However, upon being surrounded by the police team, he quickly pulled out his pistol and threatened to open fire. Nevertheless, the alert team members promptly overpowered and disarmed him. A search of his person led to the recovery of one .315 bore pistol with 1 live cartridge. A case under appropriate sections of the Arms Act has been registered at PS OIA, Delhi, in this regard.
Background & Criminal History
Interrogation of the accused, Jai Prakash alias Loli, revealed that he had been absconding in a case involving attempt to murder and the threatening of eyewitnesses in the murder case of one Bantu. The brief facts of this murder case indicate that Niranjan, an associate and close friend of Jai Prakash, along with his accomplices, killed one Mantu due to enmity. After this murder, when no one came forward to depose against Niranjan and his associates, one Shiv Nandan Prasad gathered some local residents who had witnessed Mantu's murder. These individuals then prepared to testify against Jai Prakash and his friend Niranjan. Consequently, the police arrested Niranjan and sent him to jail.
To seek revenge, Niranjan instructed Jai Prakash to assault and intimidate these witnesses to prevent them from testifying against him. Following Niranjan's directions, his associate Jai Prakash alias Loli assembled 15-20 of his associates and launched a brutal attack on Shivnandan's house, using sticks, knives, and other weapons. They severely assaulted Shivnandan's family members and fled after threatening to kill them.

1. Accused Jai Prakash alias Loli S/o Mundrika R/o of Gola Kuan, Tehkhand, Okhla Industrial Area, Delhi has a significant criminal record, with involvement in more than 10 criminal cases, including charges of attempt to murder, arms act violations, extortion, and threatening.
