Mathura resident IPS Rajeev Sharma has been appointed as the new DGP of Rajasthan. This news has brought happiness among the people of Braj and people are gathering at his house to congratulate him. Rajeev Sharma is a devotee of Shri Krishna and Chamunda Mata. His ancestral house is in Mathura itself.

IPS Rajeev Sharma's ancestral house is near Shri Krishna Janmasthan Gate No. 3 in Govind Nagar police station area. In the 60s, his grandfather Mohan Lal Sharma was the Tehsildar of Mathura.

Rajiv Sharma studied in Agra and Delhi. Father Suresh Sharma retired from the post of City Magistrate from Bulandshahr around 2004. He built a house in Noida and shifted the family there. Uncle Umesh Sharma and aunt Sadhna Sharma are living in the ancestral house. They told that Rajeev was born in Mainpuri. He stayed in Mathura a lot.

Rajiv is a very sociable person. He has many memories in the house. Whenever he comes to Mathura, he goes to his room and refreshes old memories. Along with Shri Krishna, Gayatri has a lot of faith in the Chamunda Mata temple built near Tapobhoomi. Whenever he comes to Mathura, he definitely visits Janmabhoomi and Chamunda temple. There is an atmosphere of happiness in the colony due to his appointment as the DGP of Rajasthan.
