ONE LADY BOOTLEGGER WHO HAPPENS TO BE B.C. OF PS MADHU VIHAR NABBED BY THE STAFF OF PS MADHU VIHAR, EAST DISTRICT WITH 200 QUARTERS OF ILLICIT LIQUOR.

Special Drive Yields Success in Curbing Illegal Liquor Trade.
Accused Nabbed While Trying to Conceal Liquor Carton Joshi Colony Delhi.
INCIDENT & OPERATION: -
In view of the ongoing special drive against crime and criminals, a dedicated team comprising HC Sachin Tyagi, HC Neeraj, and W/Ct. Anjana from PS Madhu Vihar, under the leadership of SHO/Madhu Vihar and guidance of ACP/Madhu Vihar, was constituted.
On 02.07.2025, while patrolling in the Joshi Colony area, the team noticed a woman carrying a large carton in Joshi Colony, Delhi. Upon spotting the police, the woman attempted to conceal herself, raising suspicion. The officers promptly stopped her and questioned her about the contents of the bag, to which she gave vague and evasive replies. Upon checking the gunny bag, the team discovered a large quantity of illicit liquor in the form of quarter bottles. A total of 50 quarters (180 ml each) were recovered from her possession, and a further 150 quarters were recovered from Joshi Colony, Delhi. Further inquiry revealed her identity as U R/o Mandawali Delhi age 40 yrs. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 206/2025 under Section 33 of the Delhi Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Madhu Vihar. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MOTIVE OF THE ACCUSED:
The accused was illegally distributing illicit liquor in the area for monetary gain. She operated covertly from her residence and nearby premises to evade law enforcement and maximize profit.
RECOVERY:
• 200 quarters (180 ml each).
