
Three months extension in service of Chhattisgarh Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain
The Chhattisgarh government has decided to extend the services of the current Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain for the next three months. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw gave this information. Jain was to retire on June 30. Jain, a 1989 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, was appointed the 12th Chief Secretary of the state on November 30, 2020. Saw told reporters after a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai here that the government has decided to continue the service of the Chief Secretary for three more months. He said, "It is under consideration of the government who will be the next Chief Secretary.
