✳️ *THREE HABITUAL ACCUSED PERSONS & ONE RECEIVER APPREHENDED BY THE STAFF OF PS VASANT KUNJ NORTH/SWD*

✳️ *STOLEN CASE PROPERTY WORTH APPROX ₹4.5 LACS INCLUDING 16 GRAMS OF MELTED GOLD, GOLD & SILVER JEWELRY, 4 MOBILE PHONES, 1 LAPTOP AND AN ILLEGAL KNIFE RECOVERED FROM THEIR POSSESSION*

✳️ *

       The staff of PS Vasant Kunj North, South-West District has arrested three habitual accused persons & one receiver namely *1. Karan @ Chela* R/o Raj Nagar Part-2, Palam, Age 23 years, *2. Ravi* R/o Sec 7, Dwarka, Age 22 years, *3. Vishal* R/o Sec 7, Dwarka, Age 24 years & *4. Akshay* R/o Palam Village, Delhi, Age 25 years (Receiver). With their arrest, stolen case property worth approx ₹4.5 lacs including 16 grams of melted Gold, Gold rings, 5 Gold nose pins, one Gold forehead tikka, 4 pairs of Silver anklets, 4 Silver coins, 3 Silver toe rings, 4 mobile phones, 1 laptop and an illegal knife were recovered from their possession.

*INCIDENT, TEAM & OPERATION:*
       On the intervening night of 25/26.06.2025, during the night motorcycle patrolling duty, HC Sonu and Ct. Shri Krishan apprehended one suspect namely Karan @ Chela R/o Raj Nagar Part-2, Palam, Age 23 years, who was found carrying an illegal knife. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 279/25, u/s 25 Arms Act was registered at PS Vasant Kunj North and accused Karan @ Chela was arrested in the case.

       During interrogation, accused Karan @ Chela disclosed his involvement in a burglary committed on 20.06.2025 in Mahipalpur along with his two associates who live with him in Pochanpur Dwarka Sec-23. He further confessed of two additional house thefts in the same locality of Mahipalpur. After verifying all the facts and circumstances, it was revealed that accused Karan was involved in E-FIR No. 8058980/25 u/s 305(2)/317(2)/3(5) BNS, registered at PS V.K. North on 21.06.2025. In this case, the complainant Sh. Manoj Kumar Thakur reported a burglary at his residence in Mahipalpur, Delhi wherein ₹10,000 in cash and jewellery worth approx ₹2.5 Lakhs were stolen during his absence from 12.06.2025 to 21.06.2025.

       Accordingly, a dedicated team comprising ASI Ashok Kaushik, HC Gaurav, HC Sonu, Ct. Mithun, Ct. Dinesh and Ct. Shri Krishan was constituted under the close supervision of Insp. Balbir Singh, SHO/PS Vasant Kunj North. A trap was laid, and raids were conducted at Pochanpur, Sector-23, Dwarka, resulting in the arrest of the accused’s associates namely Ravi R/o Sec 7, Dwarka, Age 22 years and Vishal R/o Sec 7, Dwarka, Age 24 years. On their instance, the case property of the E-FIR above mentioned along with other thefts/burglary were recovered, comprising: 16 grams of melted Gold, Gold rings, 5 Gold nose pins, one Gold forehead tikka, 4 pairs of Silver anklets, 4 Silver coins, 3 Silver toe rings, 4 mobile phones, 1 laptop and an illegal Knife. The mobile phones and laptop, whose sources could not be satisfactorily explained, were seized u/s 103 DP Act and deposited in the PS Malkhana. All other stolen items were seized as case property and all three accused persons were arrested in the above E-FIR. On their instance, one receiver namely Akshay R/o Palam Village, Delhi, Age 25 years was also apprehended in the case for melting the stolen Gold.

*PROFILE OF ACCUSED ARRESTED:*
1. Accused Karan @ Chela, Age 23 years R/o Badayun, U.P. is residing in Delhi since 2012. He is 8th standard dropout & a drug addict. He is previously involved in five cases of snatching, theft and Arms Act registered at various police stations in Delhi. He was released from Jail in April 2025 from PS Dwarka South burglary case.
2. Accused Ravi, Age 22 years R/o Gwalior, M.P. is residing in Delhi since childhood. He is 8th standard dropout & a drug addict. He is previously involved in five cases of theft, MV theft and burglary registered at various police stations in Delhi.
3. Accused Vishal, Age 24 years is the elder brother of Ravi, is also from Gwalior, M.P. He is also 8th standard dropout & a drug addict. He is previously involved in three cases of theft & burglary.
4. Accused Akshay R/o Palam Village, Delhi, Age 25 years is 12th pass & running family jewellery shop. He has also played active role by melting the stolen property i.e Gold items and converting into a coin type shape, 16 grams melted gold has been recovered in his instance.
