⭕ *THE TEAM OF ANTI-BURGLARY CELL, DWARKA DISTRICT HAS ARRESTED 02 ACTIVE & WANTED BURGLARS WITH STOLEN PROPERTIES.*

🔰 TOTAL *17 CASES OF BURGLARY, HOUSE THEFTS & OTHER THEFTS WERE WORKED OUT* WITH THEIR ARREST.

🔰 BIG HAUL OF STOLEN ITEMS RECOVERED FROM THE POSSESSION OF BOTH ACCUSED.

🔰 THEY WERE INTERCEPTED ON A STOLEN SCOOTY WHILE THEY WERE GOING TO SELL THE STOLEN PROPERTY.

🔰 ACCUSED PRADEEP @ POPLA WAS ALSO *DECLARED PROCLAIMED OFFENDER* IN AN ARMS CASE OF PS DWARKA SOUTH.

🔰 03 OUTSTANDING ARREST WARRANTS WERE ALSO ISSUED AGAINST ACCUSED PRADEEP @ POPLA.

🔰 THE ACCUSED ANKIT @ KANA IS PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN 09 CASES OF ROBBERY, BURGLARY & THEFTS, WHILE ACCUSED PRADEEP @ POPLA IS ALSO PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN 09 CASES OF ROBBERY, SNATCHING & THEFTS.

The team of *Anti Burglary Cell, Dwarka District* has arrested two active & wanted burglars namely:-

1. *Ankit @ Kana S/o Mahender,* aged 27 years.

2. *Pradeep @ Popla S/o Prem Nath,* aged 27 years

With recovery of stolen cash, 06 stolen mobile phones, hair trimmers, bathroom fittings, AC Copper pipe and a stolen Activa scooty from their possessions.

🟡 *TEAM & TASKING:-*

As per directions of *DCP Dwarka - Sh. Ankit Singh IPS,* the district's Anti-Burglary Cell, was entrusted with the task of arrest active burglars in the area.

A dedicated team of the *Anti-Burglary Cell, Dwarka, Delhi* under the leadership of Inspr. Vivek Maindola - I/C Anti Burglary Cell, Dwarka, Delhi, consisting of SI Vinod No. 947-D, HC Naresh No. 536/DW, HC Krishan No. 687/DW, Ct. Rahul No. 1754/DW, Ct. Ashish & Ct. Subhash No. 981/DW was formed to execute the directions of *DCP Dwarka, Delhi* and to arrest the accused.

🟡 *INVESTIGATION & CRACKDOWN:-*

The above-mentioned team started gathering information by analysing the CCTV footages of various burglaries and house theft cases of all the subdivisions of Dwarka District. The team then started the process of identifying the suspects seen in the CCTV footage by sharing it with the informers.

Gradually, as the investigation passed, a list of 08 suspects was created, which were identified through various investigative channels i.e., Sahayak, Smart Monitoring tool, FRS, fingerprints & other social media platforms. All 08 suspects were found very active in committing petty burglaries and house thefts. The above-said team then activated their information network and tracked and arrested 6 out of 8 suspects who were involved in burglaries and house thefts and sent them behind bars in the last one month.

At last, the team focused on the remaining two suspects identified as *Ankit @ Kana and Pradeep @ Popla.* Both suspects were smack addicts and were career criminals as they were very active in the Dwarka District.

The team then started tightening its grip on both the burglars and started tracking them through manual and technical intelligence, based on which several raids were conducted in Uttam Nagar, Dabri and Bindapur area.

🟡 *INFORMATION & ARREST:-*

The continuous work of the team paid off when one of the informers of HC Naresh informed that both the burglars will come on a stolen scooty to MCD Park, Mahavir Enclave, Delhi at about 06:30 pm.

The team immediately set up a trap at said place. At 06:35 pm, the suspects were intercepted by the team on a grey Active Scooty. The road was blocked by the team members, after which the driver tried to escape, but the alert staff nabbed the driver without giving him a chance. The driver was identified as *Ankit @ Kana S/o Mahender,* aged 27 years and the pillion rider was identified as *Pradeep @ Popla S/o Prem Nath,* aged 27 years.

During their search, six mobile phones, cash, AC Copper pipe, taps and trimmers were recovered from the scooty and their possessions. The recovered articles were taken into police possession through seizure memos and the accused were arrested.

🟡 *ACCUSED ARRESTED:-*

- *Ankit @ Kana S/o Mahender,* R/o Gali No. 5 Lal Flat Industrial area, Bawana, Delhi, aged 27 years.

2. *Pradeep @ Popla S/o Prem Nath,* R/o Jhuggi Near Shani Mandir, Goyala Dairy, Delhi, aged 27 years.

🟡 *INTERROGATION OF  BOTH THE ACCUSED:-*

Both the accused were interrogated at length, and it was found that the family of accused *Ankit @ Kana* hails from Rohtak, Haryana, whereas the family of accused *Pradeep* hails from Lucknow, UP.

Both the accused came from lower-middle-class families. Due to their poor financial circumstances, they are unable to complete their primary education. As the parents of both the accused were busy earning their living, both the accused came in contact with bad elements and got addicted to smack.

To fund their addiction, they resorted to crime. In 2022, Ankit @ Kana was first arrested in a robbery case of PS Bawana, after which he met the accused Pradeep @ Popla in jail.

At that time, the accused, Pradeep @ Popla, was also inside the jail in a separate robbery case. Both became friends as they shared the same addiction.
