case of irregularities in the transfer of teachers

A case of irregularities in the transfer of teachers done by the education department is coming to light. In the instructions issued from the headquarters, it was said that all transfers will be done on the basis of student-teacher ratio, so that teachers can be deployed as per the need, but all kinds of discrepancies have started coming to light regarding the recent teacher transfers in the government schools of the district.

On one hand, teachers are contributing to the schools after the transfer, while on the other hand, some teachers have started making rounds of the education department regarding the strange transfer of teachers. Teachers have been transferred even to missionaries and madrasas. The institution is also upset due to the transfer of teachers to places where these teachers should not have been transferred.

Some teachers have been transferred to missionary schools of Chanpatia. Government teachers cannot go directly to these schools and teach. Here, due to the transfer of some teachers to madrasas, everyone from teachers to the madrasa administration is worried. Among them is teacher Preeti Kumari who teaches in Bagaha-2. She has also been transferred to the madrasa in Majholia. The same is the case with Bhuvan Bhaskar.

Many teachers have not been posted in even one of the schools asked for, but have been allotted schools far away, due to which teachers are upset and expressing anger. To give desired posting to teachers, 10 choice schools were to be given, which was to be based on illness, posting of husband-wife and choice.

The education department has issued a new order on the transfer of teachers. The department has said that the teachers who have been transferred can stay in their old school if they want. Teachers who do not contribute to new schools will not be given voluntary transfer for the next one year. Such teachers will not be able to apply for transfer for one year.(rr)
