🔹️ *TWO  SNATCHERS ARRESTED BY THE TEAM OF POLICE STATION SULTAN PURI WITH THE HELP OF PUBLIC*

🚨 *POLICE STATION: SULTAN PURI* 🚨

▶️ *BRIEF FACTS OF THE CASE:*

On 23.06.2025, a PCR call was received , reporting that a person involved in a mobile phone theft had been apprehended. The information was marked to SI Rajpal Hudda for necessary action.

Upon receipt of the complaint, the Investigating Officer reached the spot. During the course of enquiry, it was revealed that the complainant, namely K, was returning home from Jalebi Chowk. When she reached near Ambedkar Park, two boys on a scooty approached her. The rider snatched her mobile phone.

Demonstrating courage, the complainant managed to catch hold of the pillion rider, causing him to fall from the scooty. The snatched mobile phone was recovered from his possession. Upon search, a knife was also recovered from him.

During interrogation, the accused was identified as Rakesh @ Lota, who is a BC of PS Raj Park.

Based on the statement of the complainant, a case was registered vide FIR No. 435/25 under sections 382/317(2)3(5) BNS at PS Sultanpuri.

⏩️ *TEAM CONSTITUTION*

A dedicated team comprising SI Rajpal, HC Sombir and Ct. Anoop led by Insp. Ravinder Malik, SHO/Sultan Puri under the close supervision of Sh. Rajbeer Malik, ACP/ Sultan Puri was constituted to apprehend the accomplice of  accused Rakesh.

⏭️ *OPERATION AND INTERROGATION:*

During the course of the investigation to trace the accomplice of Rakesh, the team continued its efforts. Rakesh was taken on one day police custody remand, during which he disclosed the identity of his friend as Praveen@kalu@Ravi and also revealed his whereabouts. Simultaneously, the team activated its network of secret informers.

Subsequently, the team received information about the presence of the accused in DDA Park, Nihal Vihar. Acting on this input, the team conducted a raid at the specified location and spotted a person matching the given description. The team successfully apprehended him.

During interrogation, the accused admitted to his involvement in the crime. Upon his cursory search, the team recovered the snatched mobile phone. Further investigation revealed that the accused Rakesh @ Lota was previously involved in more than 40 other cases, while Parveen @ Kalu @ Ravi was previously involved in 5 other cases.

Both, the accused were arrested in connection with the case and the recovered item was duly seized.
