✳️  *ONE NOTORIOUS AUTO-LIFTER ARRESTED BY THE TEAM OF AATS, SOUTH WEST DISTRICT*

✳️  *THREE STOLEN TWO WHEELERS & 03 STOLEN MOBILE PHONES RECOVERED*

✳️  *THREE CASES OF MV THEFT & ONE CASE OF MOBILE THEFT SOLVED*

✳️ *ACCUSED SUMIT KUMAR @ ILLU IS PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN 11 CASES OF RAPE, BURGLARY, HOUSE THEFT, MV THEFT ETC.*  

     A team of AATS, South West District has arrested one auto-lifter namely *Sumit Kumar @ Illu R/o Madanpur Khadar, New Delhi, age 30 years.* With his arrest, three stolen two wheelers and three stolen mobile phones were recovered on his instance.

*INFORMATION, TEAM AND OPERATION:*
     To curb the incidents of MV thefts in the jurisdiction of South West District, the team of AATS/South West District was directed to identify theft-prone areas and monitor recent incidents. A dedicated team comprising of SI Ved Prakash, ASI Jaipal, ASI Dharmender, ASI Vinod Kumar, HC Manoj Moral, HC Ravinder, HC Devender, and HC Hariom was constituted under the leadership of Insp Ram Kumar I/C AATS/SWD and under the close supervision of Sh. Vijay Kumar, ACP/Operations/South West to track and nab the auto lifters active in the area of South West District. Team started collecting local intelligence and patrolling specifically in the affected areas of South West District continuously.

       On the intervening night of 23/24.06.2025, secret information was received about an active auto lifter. Acting upon the information team laid a trap Opposite Gate No. 2, Sector B, Vasant Kunj. At about 12.05 AM, team apprehended one-person alongwith one stolen Hero Splendor plus Motorcycle and three stolen mobile phones. The person disclosed his identity as Sumit Kumar @ Illu R/o Madanpur Khadar, New Delhi, age 30 years. On checking, the recovered motorcycle is found to be stolen in Case E-FIR No. 16507/25, u/s 305(B) BNS, PS Ambedkar Nagar, New Delhi. One stolen mobile phone is found to be stolen in case E-FIR No. 80016164/25, u/s 305 BNS PS Safdarjung Enclave, Delhi.
The accused Sumit Kumar @ Illu was arrested and the recovered Hero Splendor plus Motorcycle and 03 stolen mobile phones were seized. Further, on the instance of accused Sumit Kumar @ Illu two more stolen Scooties were recovered from near community center Kishangarh, Delhi.

*PROFILE OF ACCUSED ARRESTED:*
       Accused Sumit Kumar @ Illu R/o Madanpur Khadar, New Delhi, age 30 years is previously involved in 11 cases of Rape, House Theft, MV Theft etc. He is living in Delhi alone in Madanpur Khadar. He is not earning sufficient money to meet his basic needs. He came in contact of bad peoples of his local area and started drinking alcohol. He started stealing two wheelers and used to sell the stolen vehicles to his known persons to earn money for his basic needs. He also used to steal the mobile phones from the Buses, Metro etc.

1. Stolen Hero Splendor plus Motorcycle,
2. Stolen TVS Ntorq Scooty
3. Stolen TVS Jupitor Scooty
4. 03 stolen mobile phones

2. E-FIR No. 80016164/25, u/s 305 BNS, PS Safdarjung Enclave, Delhi.
3. E-FIR No.10351/25, u/s 305(B) BNS PS Sagarpur, New Delhi.
4. E-FIR No.15402/25, u/s 305(B) BNS, PS Dwarka North, Delhi.

  Further efforts are going on to nab his associates and to affect more recoveries.
