A HABITUAL TWO-WHEELER & MOBILE PHONE THIEF NABBED BY THE STAFF OF PS MAYUR VIHAR AND STOLEN BIKE & FOUR MOBILE PHONES RECOVERED FROM HIS POSSESSION. 
    Habitual bike & mobile thief arrested by PS Mayur Vihar staff
    One stolen motorcycle and four mobile phones recovered
    The accused is involved in multiple previous theft cases
    Mobile phones linked to four FIRs through IMEI tracking
    Operation conducted under vigilant patrolling and technical surveillance
BRIEF:-
In line with ongoing anti-theft initiatives and intensified area surveillance under the leadership of SHO PS Mayur Vihar and the overall supervision of ACP Mayur Vihar, the staff of PS Mayur Vihar succeeded in apprehending a desperate and habitual offender.
INCIDENT & INTERROGATION: -
On 13.06.2025, HC Devender, Ct. Hariom, Ct. Ajay, during patrolling and technical surveillance in Star City Mall area, accused Rishu R/o 30 Block, Trilokpuri, Delhi, Age – 24 yrs was spotted moving suspiciously on a Hero Splendor motorcycle. Upon verification, the bike bearing registration number DL7S*M5**8 was found to be stolen in e-FIR No. 016110/2025 U/S- 305(B)/317(2) BNS, PS Mayur Vihar. During his search, the team also recovered four stolen mobile phones from his possession. All recovered items were seized as per legal procedure. The accused was arrested in the present case. During sustained custodial interrogation, the accused confessed his involvement in several bike theft and mobile snatching cases. He revealed that he had been indulging in such activities to fund his drug addiction. He further disclosed that he used to sell the stolen phones at cheap prices to random passers-by. He admitted stealing the recovered Hero Splendor motorcycle about 10 days ago from outside S.K. Banquet Hall, Mayur Vihar Extn., and was roaming to commit further crime and sell stolen mobiles near Star City Mall at the time of his arrest. Further investigation of the case is in progress.

•    Age: 24 years
•    Address: 30 Block, Trilokpuri, Delhi.

MOTIVE OF THE ACCUSED:
The accused revealed that he is addicted to drugs and has been repeatedly stealing motorcycles and mobile phones to finance his addiction. He targeted public places for easy access to unattended two-wheelers and distracted individuals with mobile phones.

RECOVERY: -
1.    One stolen M/Cycles & 04 stolen Mobiles.

•    Remain vigilant in public places and avoid leaving vehicles or mobile phones unattended.
•    Install anti-theft devices and use secure locking systems for two-wheelers.
•    Report any suspicious individuals or activities to the nearest police station immediately.
