✳️ *ONE DRUG PEDDLER ARRESTED BY THE TEAM OF SPECIAL STAFF, SOUTH WEST DISTRICT*

✳️ *TOTAL 2.403 KG CONTRABAND SUBSTANCE GANJA RECOVERED & SEIZED FROM HIS POSSESSION*

✳️ *PROACTIVE ACTION BY TEAM OF SPECIAL STAFF UNDER DRUG FREE DELHI CAMPAIGN OF DELHI POLICE*

       The team of Special Staff, South West district had arrested one drug peddler namely *Omeka V. Chophy R/o Munirka Village, Delhi, Age 23 years* and permanent resident of Dimapur, Nagaland. With his arrest, total 2.403 Kg contraband substance Ganja was recovered from his possession.

*INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION:*
       A Drug-Free campaign under Operation Kavach against Drug Peddlers and suppliers is being continuously carried out in the South-West District to make Delhi drug free. A dedicated team under the leadership of Insp. Vijay Baliyan, I/C Special Staff comprising SI Vikram, SI Nitesh, ASI Manoj, HC Vinay, HC Jagparvesh, HC Sumer, HC Sanjay, Ct. Mahaveer, Ct. Umesh, Ct. Suraj, Ct. Ashutosh & Ct. Sanjay was constituted under the supervision of Sh. Vijay Kumar, ACP/Operations/SWD, Delhi to identify and arrest the criminals with a special focus on nabbing the supply chain of Narcotics Drugs & contraband substances. The team activated the secret informers and staff was deployed in the area to get intelligence and information about the drug suppliers active in the area.

      On 19.06.2025, secret information was received to the team regarding one drug peddler active in the area of PS Kishangarh, Delhi. Acting on the secret information, the team of Special staff along with beat staff of PS Kishangarh comprising HC Rajesh, HC Vineet & Ct. Sandeep conducted meticulous technical and manual surveillance to apprehend the accused in Munirka Village. During a search near Pahari Park, Munirka Village, the team apprehended a person namely Omeka V. Chophy R/o Munirka Village, Delhi, Age 23 years and permanent resident of Dimapur, Nagaland. On his cursory search, two parcels containing 2.403 Kg of contraband substance Ganja was recovered from his possession. On interrogation, accused revealed that the illicit ganja was sourced from Manipur and transported to Delhi via train by his sister B and an unknown associate. The recovered illegal Ganja was seized. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 153/25 u/s 20 NDPS Act was registered at PS Kishangarh & accused Omeka V. Chophy was arrested in the case.

*PROFILE OF ACCUSED ARRESTED:*
      Accused Omeka V. Chophy R/o Munirka Village, Delhi, Age 23 years is a permanent resident of Thilxu, Dimapur, Nagaland. He used to supply the contraband substance/illicit Ganja from Manipur to Delhi.

*RECOVERY:*
1. Total 2.403 Kg of contraband substance Ganja packed in two parcels.

       Further investigation regarding the source & supply chain of illicit Ganja is under progress.
