"Then Telangana CM KCR, then AP CM  YS Jagan Mohan Reddy both involved in Phone Tapping ", alleges YS Sharmila

Former Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan  reacting to YS Sharmila’s statement said, "At that time, Sharmila was active in Telangana, so may be her Phone was Tapped. Whether KCR did it or not... how would I know..."

Congress party's Andhra Pradesh President Y.S. Sharmila on Wednesday alleged that the previous YSRCP govt, headed by her brother Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, and previous BRS govt headed by KCR, tapped the phones of its political opponents.

Alleging that KCR and Jagan Mohan Reddy had a close association, Jagan's relations with KCR, KTR are bigger than blood relations. She claimed that they tapped her phones and  her husband phones to harm her political and economic interests.

She claimed that phone tapping was a joint operation carried out by the then Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chief Ministers to target her.

She said YSRCP leader Y. V. Subba Reddy had told her that their phones were being tapped and even had played an audio of her phone recording before her.

Sharmila demanded that Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu should get a thorough probe conducted into phone-tapping. She offered to cooperate in the investigation.

Former AP CM YS Jagan reacting to YS Sharmila’s statement said, "At that time, Sharmilamma was active in Telangana, so may be her Phone was Tapped. Whether KCR did it or not... how would I know..."

YS Sharmila repeated her allegations on Thursday and said "Jagan's style is like 'Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves', would anywhere a thief admit admit to being a thief?"

Sharmila said, "YV Subba Reddy came to my house, when  there was close relation with us and he played the Audio clip,  which was recorded during Phone Tapping. I heard my phone tapping voice.. this is true. Now they are telling blatant lies about why we need phone tapping. He should be called for phone tapping investigation. The truth about the tapping should be revealed."

Sharmila had floated the YSR Telangana Party in Telangana in 2021. She merged the party with Congress in January last year and was appointed President of the Congress’s Andhra Pradesh unit.
