Datia in Madhya Pradesh has got a new collector after 17 days. 2016 batch IAS officer Swapnil Wankhede has been appointed as the collector of Datia, who has been transferred from Satna. Wankhede was earlier on the post of Additional Collector in Satna. Now he will take over the administrative reins of Datia. Chief Secretary Anurag Jain has issued orders in this regard.

Akshay Kumar Temrwal, who is currently holding additional charge of Datia district, has been relieved of this responsibility. He will now again work as Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat Datia in his original post. It is worth noting that former Datia Collector Sandeep Kumar Makin retired on 31 May.(rr)
