
major reshuffle at the administrative level in Delhi
There has been a major reshuffle at the administrative level in Delhi. On the instructions of Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, 23 officers of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) have been transferred. Many officers have been given big responsibilities.
The Delhi Secretariat has issued an order regarding the transfer. According to the order issued, 2000 batch senior officer IAS Dilraj Kaur has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of the General Administration Department. She has also been given additional charge of Social Welfare and SC/ST/OBC Welfare Department. IAS Dilraj Kaur was waiting for posting.
2003 batch IAS officer Nandini Paliwal, who is currently handling the responsibility of Secretary in the Higher Education Department, has been appointed as the Commissioner of Trade and Tax Department. In her place, IAS Pandurang K. Pole has been made the Secretary of the Higher Education Department. Similarly, IAS Neeraj Semwal, currently posted as Divisional Commissioner, has been given additional charge of Secretary of Land and Building Department.
2012 batch IAS officer Prince Dhawan has been given the charge of Managing Director (MD) of DTC and Special Commissioner in Transport Department. Similarly, IAS Rashmi Singh has been appointed Secretary of Women and Child Development Department. IAS Saumya Saurabh has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of North-West District.
2015 batch IAS officer Dr. Anil Agarwal has been appointed Principal Director of Forensic Science Laboratory. IAS Mekala Chaitanya Prasad, posted as Deputy Commissioner of South District, has now been appointed Deputy Commissioner of South-West District. The responsibility of Special Secretary of Electricity Department has been taken back from 2011 batch IAS officer Ravi Dhawan. He will now be posted only on the post of Member Administration in Delhi Jal Board.(rranjan)
