✳️ *17 ILLEGAL BANGLADESHI MIGRANTS RESIDING ILLEGALLY IN DELHI, HAVE BEEN DETAINED BY STAFF OF PS VASANT KUNJ SOUTH/SWD*
✳️ *A FRESH DEPORTATION PROCESS INITIATED WITH THE HELP OF FRRO, DELHI AND DEPOSITED IN DEPORTATION CENTRE.*
The vigilant staff of PS Vasant Kunj South, South West District has done commendable work by identifying and detaining 17 Bangladeshi Nationals residing illegally in Delhi. A fresh deportation process has been initiated with the help of FRRO/Delhi.
*TEAM & OPERATION:*
To address rising concerns over the unauthorized stay of Bangladeshi nationals in the capital, the South West District Police has intensified efforts to identify, detain and repatriate individuals residing in Delhi without valid Indian documents. A series of targeted operations and joint inspections have been carried out across the South West District. Special teams comprising officers from local police stations as well as special units have been deployed to conduct thorough searches and gather intelligence to locate undocumented Bangladeshi immigrants.
As part of these efforts, a dedicated team under the leadership of Insp. Arvind Pratap Singh, SHO/PS V.K. South comprising of Insp. Ratan Singh, SI Upender Singh, W/PSI Preeti, ASI Padam, ASI Raj Kumar, HC Nemi Chand, HC Pawan, HC Ravit, HC Anil, Ct. Anup, Ct. Dharmender & W/Ct. Sonu was constituted under overall supervision of Ms. Garima Tiwari, ACP/Sub-Division Vasant Kunj & started a drive for verification of illegal migrants of Bangladesh. During the verification drive, door-to-door verifications were conducted. On 12.06.2025, the diligent efforts of the team resulted in detection of 16 illegal migrants of Bangladesh and after interrogation they have been detained. They entered India using jungle routes and express trains and had stayed in India.
During the process of deportation, one lady out of them was admitted into Safdarjung hospital due to labour pain and gave birth to a boy baby. All the 17 Bangladeshi migrants including the newborn boy are deposited into detention centre for deportation.

This initiative reflects the South West District Police’s dedication to upholding law and order while ensuring strict adherence to immigration laws. Appropriate legal actions were followed based on the outcomes of the verification and investigations. After obtaining the restriction orders from FRRO, all the illegal migrants have been deposited into detention centre PP Badola, PS Mahindra Park, Delhi for further deportation to Bangladesh through FRRO.
