*NOTORIOUS AUTO LIFTER-CUM-ROBBER ARRESTED BY THE TEAM OF PP ANDHA MUGAL, PS GULABI BAGH*

•    *ONE STOLEN SCOOTY AND CASH RS. 14,000/- RECOVERED.*
•    *TWO CASES OF MVT AND THEFT SOLVED*
•    *HIS ACCOMPLICE, A CCL WAS ALSO APPREHENDED*

*INCIDENT:*
On 24.05.2025, an online e-FIR No. 014416/25 u/s 305(b) BNS was lodged at PS Gulabi Bagh regarding theft of scooty by the complainant Shri Deepak Pajwani, r/o Ashok Vihar, Delhi, age 60 years who reported that he ran a factory of chemical materials in Truck Market, Gulabi Bagh, Delhi. On the night intervening 22/23.05.25, he parked his scooty outside his office. The next morning, he found that his scooty was stolen by someone. Thereafter, he got registered above said e-FIR.  

*TEAM & INVESTIGATION:*
Accordingly, a police team comprising *HC Ranveer, HC Vipin, HC Nawal Kishor and Ct Rahul* was formed, under the leadership of *SI Yogesh Kumar, (In-charge PP Andha Mugal), close supervision of Inspr. Jagdish Kumar SHO/PS Gulabi Bagh and guidance of Shri Naresh Khanka, ACP/Sub-Division Sarai Rohilla, Delhi.*

During investigation, the team meticulously analyzed CCTV footage from the vicinity of the incident and noticed that two suspects were stealing the scooty at 03:15 AM on the night of 23.05.2025 from the garage of the complainant’s office. Further, tracking approximately 80 CCTV cameras along the escape route revealed the duo first went to Kashmiri Gate and later towards Pratap Nagar Metro Station. Based on technical inputs and local intelligence, the rider was identified as Rohit @ Nitin, resident of Pratap Nagar, Gulabi Bagh. The team also received secret information through their reliable sources that the accused involved in present case of auto-lifting could be found near Kishanganj Railway Line at late night. On this, the team laid a strategic trap near Kishanganj Railway Line and successfully apprehended him on 26.05.2025 during night hours. He was identified as *Rohit @ Nitin, r/o Pratap Nagar, Gulabi Bagh, Delhi, age 22 years.*

*INTERROGATION:*
During sustained interrogation, accused Rohit disclosed that he is a school dropout and later fell in bad company and addicted to drugs. To earn easy money and to fulfill his daily needs of drugs, he was committing crime on the stolen two-wheeler for last four years. On the night intervening 22-23.05.25, he along with his accomplice had stolen the scooty from Truck Market, Gulabi Bagh.  He also disclosed to have committed another theft at Pratap Nagar Metro Parking on the night of 25/26.05.2025, where he stole Rs. 24,000/- from the pocket of a person sleeping there. At his instance, scooty stolen in the above case was recovered which was found parked at an isolated place near Railway Colony, Kishanganj, Delhi. Cash Rs. 14,000/- was also recovered from his residence.

Further, at the instance of accused Rohit @ Nitin, his co-accused, a CCL aged 14 years was also apprehended from Kishan Ganj area who was involved in present case of auto-lifting. During questioning from CCL, it was revealed that he hails from Azamgarh, UP and some time before, he came to Delhi in search of work. But he fell into bad company and started committing crime. He also admitted that he had committed the above theft of scooty jointly with Rohit @ Nitin.

The investigation of the case is in progress.

1.    *Rohit @ Nitin,* r/o Pratap Nagar, Gulabi Bagh, Delhi, age 22 years. *(Previously he was involved in 02 cases of Robbery of PS Gulabi Bagh, Delhi. He was committing crime since last 04 years).* 
2.    *CCL “R.L.”* r/o Vagabond, Kishanganj, Delhi, age 14 years. (He is permanent resident of Azamgarh, UP).

*RECOVERY:*
1.    One scooty, make TVS NTORQ. 
2.    Cash Rs. 14,000/- (part of stolen money in case e-FIR No. 80051050/25 dated 26.05.2025, Police Station, NSP Metro, Delhi)
