Robbery case solved by team PS Welcome.
Two robbers arrested, robbed mobile phone and weapon of offence recovered.
With the arrest of two robbers, the team of PS Welcome successfully solved a robbery case involving a knife-point mugging. The stolen mobile phone and the knife used in the commission of the crime were recovered.
On 20/05/2025, an e-FIR No. 80049029/2025 under Section 303(2) BNS was registered at PS Welcome regarding the theft of a mobile phone. Upon contacting the complainant, Vikash Khanna S/o Rakesh Khanna, R/o Maujpur, Delhi, it was reported that while returning home from work, he got off the bus at Maujpur Bus Stand and was walking towards a nearby washroom close to the drain. Suddenly, two individuals approached him from behind—one held a knife to his neck while the other snatched his mobile phone and ₹150 in cash from his pocket before fleeing the scene.
Based on the complainant’s statement, appropriate sections were invoked and later altered to Sections 309(4)/317(2)/311/3(5) of the BNS.
During the investigation, a team led by Inspector Rupesh Kumar Khatri, SHO Welcome, and comprising SI Dhirendra Kumar and HCs Sandeep, Lalit, Harender, Arun, and Kuldeep, under the supervision of Shri Vivek Tyagi, ACP/Bhajanpura, conducted a thorough review and analysis of multiple CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity. Additionally, intelligence inputs from local sources were gathered.
Based on the evidence and inputs collected, the following two individuals were arrested, and the robbed mobile phone of the complainant along with the knife used in the robbery were recovered from their possession:
1.    Shavez S/o Zaheer Ahmad Khan, R/o Ambedkar Basti, Maujpur, Delhi, age 25 years
2.    Gaurav Sharma @ Binny S/o Vinod Kumar Sharma, R/o Maujpur, Delhi, age 29 years
Upon sustained interrogation, both accused confessed to the crime and also disclosed their involvement in another theft case. Further investigation is currently underway.
