✳️ TWO NOTORIOUS SNATCHERS ARRESTED BY TEAM OF ANTI SNATCHING CELL/SWD.

✳️ ACCUSED IDENTIFIED AFTER ANALYSING OVER 50 CCTV CAMERAS AND WITH THE HELP OF FRS FACILITY.

✳️ ONE SNATCHED MOBILE PHONE & ONE SPLENDOR MOTORCYCLE WITHOUT NUMBER PLATE USED IN CRIME RECOVERED.

    The Anti-Snatching Cell, South West District has done a commendable & excellent work by arresting two desperate and habitual criminals namely Sachin Kumar Yadav S/o Chhotu Yadav R/o Village Jaukali, PS Bahera, District Darbhanga, Bihar, Age 26 years & Anuj Singh S/o Rajesh Singh R/o Village Naraina, Delhi, Age 23 years. With their arrest, one snatched mobile phone & one splendor motorcycle without number plate used in crime were recovered from their possession.

INCIDENT, TEAM & ARREST:
        To curb the incidents of mobile snatching in the South West District, a team comprising HC Narender, HC Rajkumar, HC Mukesh, HC Dalip & Ct. Sunny was constituted under the leadership of Inspector Hari Singh, I/C Anti-Snatching Cell/SWD, and under the close supervision of Sh. Vijay Singh, ACP/OPS/SWD, to nab the active criminals. The team gathered local intelligence and collected information about the criminals involved in such cases.

    The team conducted an extensive technical investigation and analyzed more than 50 CCTV cameras across South-West District. FRS (Facial Recognition System) was also used for identification. The accused persons were observed using a Splendor Bike without number plate and employing various deceptive tactics to evade capture, such as: changing clothes after each snatching to avoid identification, riding in a reckless zig-zag manner to blur CCTV footage & using helmet while committing the crime. Based on manual intelligence, technical investigation and secret informers, two criminals namely Sachin Kumar Yadav and Anuj Singh, were identified and apprehended by the team. From their possession, a mobile phone was found which was snatched from a lady near Dhaula Kuan, Delhi on 12.04.2025. Both accused were arrested and produced before the Hon’ble concerned court.

INTERROGATION:
   During sustained interrogation, the accused persons confessed that to earn quick money, they used to commit mobile phone snatching and after committing the crime, they would sell the snatched mobile phones to different individuals in Delhi. They were going to sell the mobile phone but were arrested. They had bought a Splendor bike specially for committing the crime of snatching and to avoid arrest they were using it without number plate.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS:

1. Accused Sachin Kumar Yadav S/o Chhotu Yadav* R/o Village Jaukali, PS Bahera, District Darbhanga, Bihar, Age 26 years.

2. Accused Anuj Singh S/o Rajesh Singh* R/o Village Naraina, Delhi, Age 23 years.

RECOVERY:
1. One Splendor motorcycle used in commission of crime.
2. One snatched mobile phone.

CASE WORKED OUT:
1. FIR No. 80036522/25 u/s 303(2)/3(5) BNS, PS South Campus, Delhi.

Further investigation is under progress.
