Team of Special Cell/SR led by Insp. Pawan Kumar, Insp. Satvinder and Insp. Sumit under the supervision of ACP Ved Parkash has arrested one key active members of Kapil Sangwan @ Nandu gang from Tajpur Khurd Village, Delhi. Arrested accused
1.    Sombir Singh @ Sonu @ Filmi s/o Umed r/o H No. 189, Village Kakrola, Delhi, aged 40 years .
Is an active members/shooters of Kapil Sangwan @ Nandu gangand was recently released from jail after being arrested in case of firing/ attempt to murder for land grabbing in Kakrola Village. 01 semi automatic pistol of .30 bore and 04 live cartridges have been recovered from the arrested. He had procured the weapon after his release from the jail and was waiting for further directions of their gang leader Kapil Sangwan @ Nadu to kill their rivals.
INFORMATION AND OPERATION

In view of the recent criminal activities of Kapil Sangwan @ Nadu gang, Southern Range of Special Cell was tasked to gather information about such members of Kapil Sangwan @ Nandu gang who are actively involved in offences like firing , extortion , land grabbing and gangwar incidents . Manual and technical surveillance was mounted on the members of this gang and secret sources were deputed to gather information in this regard. 
On 06/05/25, a raiding team was constituted under the supervision of Insp Pawan Kumar to gather information regarding active criminals associated with gangs. On the basis of information by secret informer, one notorious gang member of Kapil Sangwan @ Nadu gang was intercepted  at Defence Enclave Road, From Tajpur towards Tajpur Goyla Chowk, Delhi riding on Red Scooty No. DL 9SBT 7534 . Accused was apprehended and searched, One automatic pistol with four live cartridges were recovered from the possession of accused. Case was registered and investigation was taken up. During interrogation accused Sombir disclosed that he is an active member of Kapil Sangwan @ Nandu Gang and has been previously involved in various cases of attempt to murder, murder, firing for land grabbing, etc. He was recently released from jail and was directed by gang members to procure weapon to eliminate the members of their rival gang. 
Background and Criminal history:
Accused Sombir Singh @ Sonu @ Filmi was born in Kakrola Village in year 1985. He  has studied till 6th class. Subsequently he fell in the bad company and indulged in criminal activities. In the year 2010, he joined hands with Jyoti @ Baba (Elder brother of Kapil Sangwan @ Nadu). In the year 2012 he went to jail in case of attempt to murder on the issue of taking illegal possession of plot in Kakrola Village. Thereafter he got indulged in various heinous offences as gang members of Kapil Sangwan- Jyoti Baba gang such as murder, attempt to murder etc. In a recent case, he alongwith Vijay @ Kalu Vijay @ Kalu, Kranti @ Vishu and Sagar (all members of Kapil Sangwan- Jyoti Baba gang) entered a plot and started firing to take illegal possession. He was released from jail in January 2025 and was waiting for the direction of their gang head to eliminate their rival gang members. He had procured the recovered weapon for the same but was caught. Hence a major incident of gangwar is averted.

Further interrogation of accused persons is in progress to identify the other members of the gang.
