BLIND MURDER SOLVED; HUSBAND-WIFE DUO ARRESTED BY PS MAIDANGARHI, SOUTH DISTRICT.

RECOVERY:-
•    01 broken mobile phone of the deceased, 01 Cheque book of deceased,  Blood stained weapon of offence i.e. iron rod and Blood stained clothes of the accused Husband-wife duo.

INTRODUCTION:-
The staff of PS Maidan Garhi, South District has done commendable work by arresting a husband wife duo namely Sushil Kumar and a woman in a murder case FIR No. 267/25, u/s 103(1)/238(a) B.N.S. PS Maidan Garhi. Upon their instance, 01 broken mobile phone of deceased, 01 Cheque book of Bank of deceased,  blood stained weapon of offence i.e. iron rod used in commission of crime and blood stained clothes of both the accused persons which were wearing by them at the time of commission of crime were recovered.

BRIEF FACTS OF THE CASE:-
         On 21.05.2025 at around 10 PM, a missing Arun Mehto was lodged by his brother Anil Kumar who reported that his brother came to Delhi on 16.05.2025 and last talked to him on 18.05.25 at about 11 PM but after that his mobile phone was going switched off continuously. While the police team was working to trace him, meanwhile on 22.05.2025 at 9:30 am, an information was received at PS Maidan Garhi, Delhi regarding dead body of a person found inside the forest near Maidan Garhi Talab. 
Immediately, the police staff reached at the spot i.e. forest area, near Maidan Garhi talab, Delhi where one dead body of a male aged about 31/32 years was found in highly decomposed condition under the bushes inside the forest area. The deceased was identified as Arun Kumar. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 267/25, u/s 103(1)/238(a) B.N.S. was registered at PS Maidan Garhi and investigation was taken up.

TEAM, INVESTIGATION AND OPERATION:-
Keeping in view the gravity of the incident, a team comprising Inspr./Inv Deepak Purohit, Inspr./ATO Sunil Kumar,  SI Sourabh Arora, SI Dharam Singh, SI Manish Kumar, ASI Manjeet, ASI Radha Krishan, HC Akhilesh , HC Pankaj, HC Pritam Sharma, HC Vicky Malik, HC Vishwadeep, Ct. Ashok, Ct. Sube Singh led by SHO/Maidan Garhi Amit Kumar under overall supervision of ACP/Mehrauli Sh. Raghuvir Singh was formed to investigate the matter. 
During the course of investigation, the Crime and FSL teams were called at the spot for inspection of crime scene. Exhibits were collected and the dead body of the deceased was shifted to AIIMS mortuary.  Further, the team collected some vital and key inputs through technical sources and purified the key inputs and dug out of board some more important inputs through manual as well as technical surveillance. The team was specifically tasked to synchronize the CCTV cameras and to check the activities of recent Jail-Bail released criminals. 
During interrogation, Anil Kumar, the brother of the deceased, stated that his brother Arun Mahto lived with his family in Patna, Bihar, where he ran an aluminum shop. He had come to Delhi on 16.05.2025 for some business work and was staying at the house of his relative, Naveen, in Maidan Garhi, Delhi.  He further stated that on 18.05.2025 at about 11:00 PM he had last talk on mobile phone with his brother  Arun Mahto. During the talk, his brother Arun had told him that he was present with Naveen. Next day onwards, mobile phone of his brother Arun Mahto was continuously found switched off.  In furtherance of this, Naveen and other relatives were examined at length. With the help of technical apparatus and during the examination, the police team found a clue that the deceased Arun Mahto had an extra marital affair with a woman W/o Sushil Kumar who is maternal uncle of Naveen Kumar and also resides in Maidangarhi area.
Following the lead, the details of Sushil Kumar & his wife were gathered and put on surveillance.  Through surveillance and technical analysis the location of the alleged Sushil Kumar and his wife were zeroed down. A raid was conducted and both were apprehended, they confessed to the above said crime.

INTERROGATION:-
    During the course of sustained interrogation, the accused Sushil disclosed that on 18.05.2025, he noticed many missed calls on the mobile phone of his wife. On doubt, he checked and found the mobile number belongs to Arun Kumar and his wife having extra marital affair with Arun Kumar who used to call his wife late nights.  So he decided to kill Arun Kumar and pressurized his wife to talk to him and called him near the forest area. When Arun Mahto came to meet his wife in the forest he hit him on the head with iron rod from the behind. After this he took his mobile phone and cheque book from his pocket and threw nearby. His wife also corroborated the same and further disclosed that they met to each other in a marriage of a common relative in Bihar two years ago and they were in touch since then.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSONS ARRESTED:-

1.    Sushil Kumar S/o Ram Satrodhan Singh R/o Kuber Building, Maidan Garhi, Delhi. (Permanent R/o Village Bhalhi,  Distt. Sitamarhi, Bihar.) Age 37 years.  He works as a labour and studied upto 5th standard. He was living in Delhi for the last 17-18 years.
2.    Woman W/o Sushil Kumar R/o Kuber Building, Maidan Garhi, Delhi. (Permanent add- H. No. 311, Vill- Bhalhi, Distt. Sitamarhi, Bihar.) Age – 24 years.

RECOVERY:-
1.     One broken mobile phone of deceased. 
2.     01 Cheque book of Bank of deceased.
3.     Blood stained weapon of offence i.e. iron rod 
4.     Blood stained clothes of both the accused persons wore at the time of commission of crime. 
        
Further investigation into the case is under process. The staff involved in good work is being rewarded suitably.
