✳️ *TOTAL 30 CARTONS/GATTA PETI CONTAINING 1500 QUARTERS OF DESI ILLICIT LIQUOR FOR SALE IN HARYANA ONLY RECOVERED*

✳️ *ONE HYUNDAI CAR USED IN TRANSPORTATION OF ILLICIT LIQUOR ALSO CONFISCATED*

     The team of Anti Snatching Cell, South West District had arrested one illicit liquor supplier namely *Anil S/o Mahabir Singh R/o Village Leharar, PS Sadar, Sonipat, Harayana, Age 40 years.* With his arrest, total 30 cartons/gatta peti containing 1500 quarters of Deshi illicit liquor for sale in Haryana only were recovered. One Hyundai car used in transportation of illicit liquor also confiscated.

*TEAM, INFORMATION AND OPERATION:*
      To curb the sale, supply & storage of illicit liquor in the jurisdiction of South West district, a team of Anti Snatching Cell was tasked to nab the bootleggers/illicit liquor suppliers. The team developed information regarding active bootleggers & random patrolling in the area was conducted during odd hours to keep a check on such illegal activities. Accordingly, a dedicated team comprising HC Rajkumar, HC Dilip & HC Narender was constituted under the leadership of Insp. Hari Singh, I/C Anti Snatching Cell under close supervision of Sh. Ranbir Singh, ACP/Operations to nab the bootleggers.

         On 18.05.2025, the above team received secret information that a bootlegger would come in Hyundai car from Haryana through Dhaula Kuan towards Safdarjung Enclave. After final confirmation, the team laid a trap at near Durgabai Desh Mukh metro station and at the instance of secret informer the team stopped a Hyundai car and apprehended a person namely Anil S/o Mahabir Singh R/o Village Leharar, PS Sadar, Sonipat, Harayana, Age 40 years in a Hyundai car. The Hyundai car was found loaded with 30 cartons of ADS Fresh Santra Deshi Sharab for sale in Haryana Only. On interrogation, the accused disclosed that the liquor was purchased from different shops at Gurugram and he was planning to sell the same in Safdarjung in order to make good profit. The illicit liquor was taken into police possession through seizure memo. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 114/2025 u/s 33/38/58 Delhi Excise Act was registered at PS South Campus, Delhi & accused Anil was arrested in the case.

*RECOVERY:*
1. Total 30 cartons/gatta peti containing 1500 quarters of Desi illicit liquor for sale in Haryana only.
2. One Hyundai car used in transportation of illicit liquor.

    Further investigation is being carried out to ascertain the source and supply network of illicit liquor.
