    DESPERATE ROBBER & PROCLAIMED OFFENDER IN 02 CASES, ARRESTED BY ARSC CRIME BRANCH.
    ACCUSED IS ABSENT BC OF PS MAHENDRA PARK, DELHI AND PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN 65 CASES OF ATTEMPT TO MURDER, ROBBERY/SNATCHING, NDPS AND ARMS ACT, E.T.C.
INTRODUCTION
The team of ARSC, Crime Branch, Delhi has arrested a desperate robber Rajan @ Rahul (42 yrs.) S/o Late Jeet Bahadur R/o Jahangirpuri, Delhi, proclaimed offender in 02 cases of arms act & snatching cases of PS Uttam Nagar, Delhi.
TEAM
On 17.05.2025, secret information was received by SI Rajkumar that accused Rajan @ Rahul, who is wanted and declared proclaimed offender in cases of PS Uttam Nagar will come to near Karkardooma Court to meet his friend and could be apprehended from there. 
Accordingly, a team led by Insp K.K. Sharma comprising of SI Rajkumar, SI Puneet Khatri, ASI Shyam Singh, HC Mohit Baliyan, HC Deepak Nagar, HC Lalit Kumar and W/Ct Priya under the supervision of Sh. Arvind Kumar, ACP, ARSC was constituted to nab the absconder. A raid was conducted and accused Rajan @ Rahul was apprehended from the area of PS Farsh Bazar, Delhi.  To evade his arrest accused Rajan @ Rahul was frequently changing his place of residence along with his family members. 
INCIDENTS
The facts of the cases are that: -
On 01.09.2013, at about 01.30 PM, complainant was going to her home from photocopy shop. When she reached near Janta Flats, Hastsal, Uttam Nagar, suddenly two boys came from behind on a motorcycle and snatched her Gold Chain and ran away. In this regard case FIR No. 477/13 U/s 356/379/34 IPC was registered at PS Uttam Nagar, Delhi and accused Rajan @ Rahul was arrested in this case as case property of this case was recovered from him. Accused Rajan @ Rahul was declared Proclaimed Offender vide order dated 06.05.2025, by the Ld. Court of Ms. Deeksha Sethi, JMFC-8/South-West, Delhi/Dwarka Court Delhi when he evaded his appearance in Court.
On 07.09.2013, at about 08.00 PM a trap was laid down at Gali, near metro station west Uttam Nagar, Delhi by the Police and accused Rajan @ Rahul was apprehended on a motorcycle. A country made pistol (315 bore) along with 1 live cartridge were recovered from his possession. In this regard, FIR No.493/13 u/s 25 Arms Act was registered in PS Uttam Nagar, Delhi. Accused Rajan @ Rahul was declared Proclaimed Offender vide order dated 06.05.2025, by the Ld. Court of Ms. Deeksha Sethi, JMFC-8/South-West, Delhi/Dwarka Court Delhi when he evaded his appearance in Court.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED
The accused Rajan @ Rahul (42 years) belongs to a lower-class family. He studied up to 10th class from Jahangirpuri, Delhi. Due to poor financial condition of his family, he left studies and started work in transport line along with his father. Thereafter, he came in contact of habitual criminals of the area and started committing armed robbery and snatching. At present he is working as Auto driver.

Local police have been informed for necessary action at their ends.
