In accordance with the directions issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Outer District, all patrolling personnel have been thoroughly briefed and sensitized to maintain  vigilance across their respective areas of responsibility. Emphasis has been laid on proactive policing measures to ensure the maintenance of law and order, as well as to safeguard the safety and security of citizens within the jurisdiction of the Outer District.

▶️ *OPERATION AND INTERROGATION:*

On May 17, 2025, during routine patrolling in the Laxmi Park area near a wooden factory, Head Constable Dharampal Yadav and Constable Sanjeet from Police Station Nihal Vihar noticed two individuals on a motorcycle behaving suspiciously. On seeing the police, the individuals abruptly made a U-turn in an attempt to flee. Acting swiftly, the alert officers gave chase and managed to intercept the motorcycle.

The two suspects were apprehended and identified as Shamim @ Munna and Aftab @ Soma @ Osama. When questioned, they failed to produce any ownership documents for the motorcycle. Upon checking ZIPNET, it was found that the motorcycle had been reported stolen in e-FIR No. 13024/25 registered at PS Nihal Vihar. During questioning, Shamin confessed that he had stolen the motorcycle along with an associate namely 'R'. Additionally, a button-actuated knife was recovered from Aftab's possession. Accordingly, a case was registered under FIR No. 372/2025 at PS Nihal Vihar under Sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act.

Further investigation revealed that the accused along with their accomplices Anas and one ‘R’, had previously stolen another motorcycle from the Nihal Vihar area to commit burglaries. After committing one such crime, they had to abandon the stolen motorcycle due to mechanical issues. Based on the information given by the accused, the team recovered the abandoned motorcycle, which was found to be linked with e-FIR No. 13580/25, registered under Section 305(b) BNS at PS Nihal Vihar.

Further investigation revealed that the accused were also found involved in two recent burglary cases registered as e-FIR No. 80047042/25 dated 15.05.2025 and e-FIR No. 80047592/25 dated 16.05.2025, both under Section 305 BNS at PS Nihal Vihar. Based on their disclosures, co-accused Anas was also arrested.

Three accused were arrested  and all the recoveries namely 01 Gold tops (only of one ear), 01 Gold Necklace with Red and White Pearls, 06 Silver Coins, 16 Pairs of silver Chutki, 09 Silver single Chutki's, 03 Silver Rings, 03 Silver Anklets, 03 Pair Silver child Bangles and 01 Silver Chain with artificial jewellery recovered from all the three accused were seized in the case.

Efforts are ongoing to trace and apprehend the remaining absconding accused involved in this burglary racket.

•    Shamim @ Munna R/o Sultanpuri, Delhi, Age-25 yrs( he is illiterate and currently working at a Halwai shop and involved in 7 criminal cases including Burglary, Attempt to murder & theft etc.)

•    Aftab @ Soma @Osama R/o Sultanpuri, Delhi, Age-25 yrs( studied upto 5th class and 
previously involved in 6 criminal cases including Robbery & Attempt to murder etc.)

• Anas R/o SultanPuri, Delhi, Age- 25 yrs
