A YSRCP Supporter killed by a vehicle, with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy convoy

A 63-year-old man named Singaiah died on Wednesday after being hit by a vehicle traveling in a rally towards Rentapalla , held for YSRCP chief and Andhra Pradesh ex-CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, to console the family of a party functionary who had allegedly died by suicide.

According to Satish Kumar, IPS, SP, Guntur district :

"Around 35 additional vehicles along with ex-CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s convoy of 11 vehicles, headed toward Rentapalla in Palnadu district. Several  YSRCP supporters were standing on the roadside. A TATA Safari, one of the accompanying  private vehicles hit Singaiah, on the national highway near Etukuru, Guntur district. The rally participants left the victim by the roadside. Local residents and police rushed him to Guntur General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries."

Despite police restrictions, hundreds of YSRCP supporters from Guntur, Palnadu and neighboring districts merged with the convoy as it moved toward Rentapalla. Multiple vehicles belonging to party leaders and supporters tagged on to Jagan Mohan Reddy’s convoy after it departed from his residence in Tadepalli, Amaravati.

"Palnadu district police had permitted only 3 additional vehicles and a maximum of 100 people to accompany the former Chief Minister. But around 35 additional vehicles with  huge crowds joined with ex-CM YS Jagan's 11 vehicle convoy, when he departed from Tadepalli to Palnadu district. Which causes the accident. We take legal action according to the law", said SP Guntur.
