
UNDER "OPERATION MILAP", TEAM OF PS BADARPUR RE-UNITED ONE MINOR BOY WITH HIS FAMILY
Keeping in view the recent cases of missing children, a dedicated team comprising SI Amit Kumar, Ct Pawan and Ct Mukesh of PS Badarpur, Southeast District has traced one minor boy of age 12 yrs and reunited him with his family.
INCIDENT,TEAM AND OPERATION:-
On 10.06.25, the missing report of a minor boy of age 12 yrs was received at PS Badarpur. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 266/25 u/s 137(2) BNS was registered at PS Badarpur and search of the missing child was started. The team conducted detailed examination of the CCTV footages around the child’s residence. Consistent communication with the victim’s family, relatives, and acquaintances to gather any possible leads was established.
With the diligent follow-up on all available clues despite the limited information in hand, a major breakthrough came on 28.06.2025, when an anonymous caller informed the team that a bank passbook belonging to the missing child was found at Banda Railway Station, Uttar Pradesh. The police team immediately rushed to Banda, where they reviewed CCTV footages at the railway station. With the help of CCTV footages, the team found that the minor boy boarded a train bounded for Chitrakoot, approximately 4-5 hours prior.
Acting swiftly, the team proceeded to Chitrakoot and launched an intensive search operation across, dharamshalas, bus terminals, hotels and
Railway station premises.
Owing to their persistent efforts, the police team successfully traced the missing child near Karwi Railway Station, Uttar Pradesh. The missing boy was safely handed over to his guardians. It also came into light that the child left his home for Mumbai to become a Computer Master. The team of PS Badarpur under selfless operation not only resulted into family reunions but also fulfilled the motive of "OPERATION MILAP".
