✳️ * TEAM OF ANTI SNATCHING CELL/SWD*

✳️ *THE DUO ARE PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN OVER 155 CASES OF SNATCHING, M.V. THEFT, THEFT & ARMS ACT.*

✳️ *ACCUSED RAVI @ KARAN IS PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN MORE THAN 90 CRIMINAL CASES AND IS A BC OF PS KIRTI NAGAR, DELHI.*

✳️ *ACCUSED AKASH IS PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN MORE THAN 65 CRIMINAL CASES, MOSTLY SNATCHING AND IS A BC OF PS SAGARPUR, DELHI.*

✳️ *ACCUSED IDENTIFIED AFTER ANALYSING OVER 500 CCTV CAMERAS AND WITH THE HELP OF FRS FACILITY.*

    The Anti-Snatching Cell of South West District has done a commendable & excellent work by arresting two desperate and habitual criminals namely *Ravi @ Karan S/o Sh. Kuldeep Singh* R/o Uttam Nagar, Delhi, aged 32 years and *Akash S/o Sh. Vipin* R/o Gali No. 7, Shivpuri, West Sagarpur, Delhi, aged 30 years. With their arrest, one stolen Apache motorcycle, two snatched gold chains, and three stolen mobile phones were recovered at their instance.

*INCIDENT, TEAM & ARREST:*

To curb the incidents of snatching (gold chain) and mobile thefts in the South West District, a team comprising SI Kamal Kant, SI Mangi Lal, ASI Hoshiar Singh, HC Anil, HC Narender, HC Rajkumar, HC Shish Ram, HC Mukesh and Ct Sunny was constituted under the leadership of Inspector Hari Singh, I/C Anti-Snatching Cell/SWD, and under the close supervision of Sh. Vijay Singh, ACP/OPS/SWD, to nab the active criminals. The team gathered local intelligence and collected information about the criminals involved in such cases.

    The team conducted an extensive technical investigation and analyzed more than 500 CCTV cameras across South-West, West, and North-West Districts. FRS (Facial Recognition System) was also used for identification. The accused persons were observed using an Apache Bike and employing various deceptive tactics to evade capture, such as: taking multiple rounds in an area before committing the crime, changing clothes after each snatching to avoid identification, riding in a reckless zig-zag manner to blur CCTV footage & using helmet while committing crime. Based on specific intelligence and manual surveillance, two criminals namely *Ravi @ Karan and Akash*, both notorious criminals previously involved in numerous snatching and theft cases, were identified. A trap was laid, and both were apprehended along with a stolen Apache motorcycle used in the commission of crimes.

    Upon sustained interrogation, the accused persons admitted their involvement in a recent gold chain snatching case vide FIR No. 311/25, u/s 304(B)/3(5) BNS, dated 08.05.2025, P.S. Palam Village, Delhi, and two snatched gold chains were recovered from their possession. Further, three stolen mobile phones were also recovered. Both accused were arrested and produced before the Hon’ble concerned court.

*INTERROGATION:*
   During sustained interrogation, the accused persons confessed that to earn quick money, they used to commit gold chain and mobile phone snatching and after committing the crime, they would sell the snatched gold chains and mobile phones to different individuals in Delhi. They were going to sell the mobile phones and gold chain but were arrested. They exclusively used an Apache bike for snatchings.

*PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS:*

1. Accused Ravi @ Karan S/o Sh. Kuldeep Singh R/o Uttam Nagar, Delhi, aged 32 years, is previously involved in more than 90 criminal cases and is a BC of PS Kirti Nagar.

2. Accused Akash S/o Sh. Vipin R/o Gali No. 7, Shivpuri, West Sagarpur, Delhi, aged 30 years, is previously involved in more than 65 criminal cases, mostly snatching and is a BC of PS Sagarpur.

*RECOVERY:*
1. One stolen Apache motorcycle used in commission of crimes
2. Two snatched gold chains
3. Three stolen mobile phones
