TWO NOTORIOUS SNATCHERS-CUM-THIEVES ARRESTED BY STAFF OF PS BURARI

*INCIDENT:*
On the evening of 08.05.25, a PCR call was received at PS Burari that 4-5 persons have stolen his bike, mobile phone and purse after making him unconscious. The local police reached the spot where complainant Jitender Kumar Meena r/o B-Block, Ibrahimpur, Delhi reported that he is a Primary Teacher in Govt. School, Kadi Vihar, Delhi. On 08.05.2025 at about 8 pm, he was walking at Pusta Road, meanwhile, four unknown persons came from Hiranki side and they applied a spray on his face, due to which he became faint and they took away his bike, two mobile phones and purse. Subsequently, a case vide FIR 410/2025 u/s 123/303(2)/3(5) BNS was registered at PS Burari and investigation was taken up.
*TEAM, OPERATION & INVESTIGATION :*
A dedicated police team led by *SI Naveen Sindhu (In-charge PP Burari Govt Hospital), comprising ASI Ravinder Tomar, HC Anil, HC Rohtash, HC Rahish, HC Pardeep, Ct Uttam and Ct Piyush,* under the close supervision of *Inspr. Sanjay Kumar, SHO/PS Burari and guidance of Shri Anil Kumar Yadav, ACP/Sub-Division, Timarpur* was immediately constituted.
During investigation in the case, the team analyzed the footages of several CCTV cameras installed near the place of incident, in which four persons were seen on a bike going towards the place of incident, but their faces were not clear and after the incident, the same persons were seen going back on two different bikes towards Hiranki. The police team tried to track the route of the suspected persons through CCTV cameras but after a short distance, they got disappeared.
At the same time, the complainant informed that he was also tracking his stolen mobile phones through an app and the last location of the mobile phone was found at Azad Pur Mandi on 08.05.2025. He shared the location with the team members and search for the culprits was initiated nearby the location. On local enquiry, it came to know that such type of criminals reside at Indira Colony, Near Railway Track, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi. The team members started a search operation and checked CCTV cameras at the entry-exit points of Indira Colony. Meanwhile, the team noticed that two boys were coming on a bike and the registration number and colour of the bike was same as stolen from the complainant. The team members gave signal to stop them but they tried to escape. However, the team members managed to overpower them with the bike. They were identified as Arjun and Sujeet, both resident of Jhuggi Indra Colony, Fatak Shalimar Bagh, Delhi..
*INTERROGATION:*
During interrogation, they disclosed that on the evening of 08.05.25, they along with their accomplices Vishal and Jatin were roaming at Pusta Road, Burari for committing crime. They were also carrying a spray bottle to faint the victim. Meanwhile, they noticed a person sitting at the road side. They started talking with him and one of the them applied a spray on the face of victim. When he got faint, they took away his 02 mobile phones, 01 bike and 01 purse. Their accomplices Vishal and Jatin took away the stolen mobile phones and purse.
They also disclosed that both of them are friends and living in same locality. They fell in bad company and became addicted to drugs and to fulfill their needs, they started committing crime. Arjun has been involved in many criminal cases. Efforts have been made to nab the remaining accused but they were found absconding.
Further investigation is under progress to nab the remaining accused persons and recovery of stolen articles.
*PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS:*
1. *Arjun,* r/o Jhuggi Indra Colony, Fatak No 7, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi, age 26 years. (Previously he was found involved in 09 criminal cases of Snatching, House Theft, Theft and NDPS Act, registered at Police Station, Shalimar Bagh, Sultanpuri, Punjabi Bagh and Keshavpuram, Delhi.
2. *Sujeet,* r/o Jhuggi No. T-Block Indra Colony, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi, age-21 years.

One Motorcycle, Hero Splendor.
