•    TWO DESPERATE BURGLARS ARRESTED BY THE STAFF OF PS SADAR BAZAR 
•    06 STOLEN WRIST WATCHES AND HOUSE BREAKING EQUIPMENTS RECOVERED

The staff of PS Sadar Bazar, North District have arrested two desperate Burglars namely (1) Arshad Ali aged 37 years r/o Batla House, Jamia Nagar, Delhi and (2) Mohd. Firoz @ Akhbar aged 26 years r/o C-Block, LNJP Colony, Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Marg, Delhi and solved a case of burglary of PS Sadar Bazar. 06 stolen wrist watches, one scooty used in burglary and tools which were used in breaking the locks during theft were recovered from their possession.

INCIDENT:
       On 16.06.2025, complainant Mohd. Abdul Rahim, r/o Double Storey Quarters, Sadar Bazar, Delhi got lodged an E-FIR vide No. 80057270/25 u/s 305 BNS regarding theft of cash 30,000/- and 06 wrist watches from his house. The local police met with the complainant who informed that he is a street vendor and sells fruits on his rehari. On 15.06.2025 during evening hours, he along with family had gone to the house of in-laws at Pahar Ganj after locking the house. On the next day, when he returned, he found that his house has been ransacked after breaking the lock. Cash Rs. 30,000 and 06 wrist watches were stolen from his house. Subsequently, section of burglary was added in the case.  

TEAM & OPERATION:
A dedicated police team led by SI Pratap Vikram, comprising HC Sunil Thakran, HC Jitender and Ct Sumit was constituted, under the close supervision of Inspr. Sahdev Singh Tomar, SHO/PS Sadar Bazar and guidance of Shri Shankar Banerjee, officiating ACP/Sub-Division, Sadar Bazar.

During investigation, the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity was thoroughly analyzed and after sincere efforts, it was revealed that a scooty Yamaha Fascino was used by the culprits in the commission of crime and there was no number plate at the front of the scooty. This information was shared with the police station staff and they were specifically briefed to have a check upon such scooty in the area. This exercise was being carried out regularly by deploying pickets at strategic points in the area of PS Sadar Bazar.

In the morning of 28.06.2025, a strong picket was deployed at Idgah Road, Sadar Bazar, for vehicle checking. During checking, a similar scooty without number plate being ridden by two persons was noticed by the picket staff. On seeing the police party, the persons riding the scooty tried to flee away but they were incepted and overpowered by the police team. During their personal search, 06 wrist watches were recovered and during search of the scooty, some house breaking tools were also recovered. The wrist watches were found same which were stolen in the above case. The accused were identified as Mohd. Arshad Ali and Mohd. Firoz @ Akhbar. Both were arrested in the above case and the scooty was taken into possession.

INTERROGATION:
    During interrogation, they confessed to have committed the above burglary on the night of 15.06.25 on their scooty. They have spent the cash on their habits of drug addiction. They were in search of some suitable buyers for selling the stolen wrist watches. On the day of their arrest, they had come to Sadar Bazar Market for selling the watches.

    Mohd. Arshad Ali is an e-rickshaw puller and runs e-rickshaw on occasional basis. He had bought the above scooty about four years before. Mohd. Firoz is engaged in POP work and during his POP work, he used to recce the vacant and locked houses in the neighbourhood. After finishing his work, he along with his accomplice committed burglary/theft in such houses after breaking the locks with the help of tools being carried by them.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS:
1.    Mohd. Arshad Ali, r/o Batla House, Jamia Nagar, Delhi, age 37 years. (Previously he was found involved in 04 cases of Burglary and House Theft of Police Stations Chandni Mahal, Hauz Quazi and Bara Hindu Rao, Delhi. He is an active History Sheeter (BC) of PS Chandni Mahal, Delhi and committing crimes for more than 05 years.    
2.    Mohd. Firoz @ Akhbar, r/o C-Block, LNJP Colony, Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Marg, Delhi, age 26 years. (Previously, he was found involved in 02 cases of Burglary of Police Stations Sarai Rohilla and Bara Hindu Rao, Delhi. He is committing crime for more than 04 years).

RECOVERY:
1.    06-stolen wrist watches.
2.    01 Scooty make Yamaha Fascino used in crime.
3.    House breaking tools.

Further investigation is under progress.
