TWO AUTO-LIFTERS NABBED BY AATS CENTRAL DISTRICT; THREE STOLEN TWO-WHEELERS RECOVERED

•    TWO ACTIVE AUTO LIFTERS APPREHENDED BY THE TEAM OF AATS
•    BOTH ACCUSED ARE HABITUAL OFFENDERS WITH MULTIPLE CASES ACROSS DELHI
•    THREE STOLEN TWO-WHEELERS RECOVERED 
•    ACCUSED NABBED THROUGH INTENSE MANUAL AND TECHNICAL SURVEILLANCE

BRIEF OF INCIDENT: -

On 21.05.2025, a case of motor vehicle theft was reported at PS Prasad Nagar, vide E-FIR No. 014158/25 U/s 305(B) BNS, on the complaint of a resident of Sat Nagar, Karol Bagh, who reported that his white Activa Scooty was stolen from outside his residence between 17:30 to 19:00 hrs

The investigation was entrusted to the AATS/Central District for early detection and apprehension of the culprits.

TEAM & OPERATION: -

A dedicated team under the leadership of Inspector Raghuveer Meena, I/C AATS Central District, was constituted comprising SI Surender, ASI Naresh, HC Anuj Kumar, HC Rajveer, Ct. Mahender, Ct. Devi, and Ct. Bishu, under the overall supervision of ACP/Operations.

The team conducted detailed technical analysis and manual surveillance, thoroughly scanning CCTV footage and gathering local intelligence. Based on clues, it was established that two offenders were behind the said crime.

On 05.07.2025, a secret input was received that two suspects would arrive in Kamla Market area with a stolen motorcycle to commit snatching or other crimes. Acting swiftly, a trap was laid and both suspects namely, Farukh & Mohd Salman @ Laddan were apprehended with a stolen motorcycle, which was earlier reported stolen in E-FIR No. 014927/25 PS Bhajanpura.

Upon interrogation, both accused disclosed the locations of two more stolen vehicles, which were subsequently recovered from New Delhi Railway Station and Gali No. 15, North Ghonda. These vehicles were found to be stolen in the cases of E-FIR No. 014158/25 PS Prasad Nagar and E-FIR No. 018112/25 PS Khajuri Khas.

Both accused were then arrested vide u/s 35(1)(E) BNSS, PS Kamla Market.
