🚨 *POLICE STATION: MANGOL PURI* 🚨

▶️ *BRIEF FACTS OF THE CASE:*

On 07.07.2025, a case vide FIR No. 479/2025 under section 304(2)/3(5) of the BNS has been registered at PS Mangolpuri in connection with a mobile phone snatching incident.

⏩️ *TEAM CONSTITUTION*

A dedicated team comprising HC Yudhvir, HC Ajay, HC Nitin, and Ct. Vikash led by Inspr. Joginder Singh, SHO/Mangol Puri with overall supervision of Sh. Murari Lal, ACP/Mangol Puri was constituted to trace and nab the criminals.

⏭️ *OPERATION AND INTERROGATION:*

During the course of investigation into the  snatching incident, the investigation team meticulously analyzed multiple CCTV footages from the vicinity of the crime scene. Simultaneously, a network of confidential informers was also activated. Photographs extracted from the CCTV footage were shared with them, leading to the identification of the suspect as Sawan@Ritik.

Acting on further intelligence, it was learned that the accused was hiding in the Rohini area. The team swiftly conducted a raid at the suspected location, where an individual matching the description was spotted and apprehended. On questioning, he revealed his identity as Sawan@Ritik.

During his personal search, one switched-off mobile phone was recovered. Upon verification, it was found linked to e-FIR No. 80059041/2025 dated 22.06.2025 under section 303(2) BNS, registered at PS South Rohini (Rohini District). Further background checks revealed that Sawan@Ritik has a prior criminal record and is involved in four other criminal cases.

*DISCLOSURE & FURTHER ARREST:*

Upon sustained interrogation, Sawan@Ritik disclosed that he had handed over the snatched mobile phone to his associate Aakash and also shared his whereabouts. Acting promptly on his disclosure, the team raided the given location and successfully apprehended accused Aakash from Rohini area. During his search, the snatched mobile phone mentioned in the above FIR was recovered from his possession.

Accused Aakash further confessed that both of them had used a scooty to commit the above mentioned snatching crime and after executing the crime, they parked the scooty at the same spot from where they had taken that. The scooty (used in the crime has also been recovered). On verification, accused Aaksah was found to be involved in one other criminal case too.

Both, accused persons were arrested in connection with the case. The recovered snatched/stolen mobile phones and the scooty which was used in the crime were seized and marked as case property.
