✳️ *ONE STOLEN SCOOTY & ONE ILLEGAL BUTTON-ACTUATED KNIFE RECOVERED FROM THEIR POSSESSION*

✳️ *ACCUSED SUNIL @ MASS IS PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN 2 THEFT CASES & ACCUSED KANHAIYA IS INVOLVED IN A THEFT CASE.*

    The staff of PS Vasant Vihar, South West District has arrested two active criminals namely *Sunil @ Mass R/o Kusumpur Pahari, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi, age 27 years* & *Kanhaiya R/o Kusumpur Pahari, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi, age 28 years.* With their arrest, one stolen scooty and one illegal button actuated knife were recovered from their possession.

*INFORMATION, TEAM AND ARREST:*
       To curb the crime & criminals in the area of PS Vasant Vihar, South West District, the staff was tasked to track and nab active criminals. In pursuance of the task, the team was briefed to develop intelligence and to collect information about the criminals as well as suspicious strangers roaming in the area. The team analyzed the CCTV cameras installed near the place of recent theft incidents & collected local intelligence.

    On 24.06.2025, a patrolling team comprising HC Harish Chandra, Ct. Himanshu, Ct. Subhash and Ct. Hitesh reached near Munirka Marg, received a credible information from a secret informer regarding two suspects roaming on a stolen scooty (without number plate) and likely to commit a crime near Air India Colony, Vasant Vihar. Acting swiftly, a trap was laid near the Post Office, Air India Colony. At around 08:10 PM, two suspIcious persons on a scooty were signaled to stop but they tried to flee who were overpowered and successfully apprehended. The accused persons disclosed their identity as Sunil @ Mass R/o Kusumpur Pahari, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi, age 27 years and Kanhaiya R/o Kusumpur Pahari, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi, age 28 years. The scooty was found stolen and an illegal knife was also recovered from Kanhaiya. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 163/25, u/s 25 Arms Act was registered at PS Vasant Vihar and both the accused were arrested. The recovered knife and scooty were seized as per legal procedure, and further investigation is underway to trace other possible involvements and associates.

1. Accused Sunil @ Mass R/o Kusumpur Pahari, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi, age 27 years is previously involved in 02 more theft cases.
2. Accused Kanhaiya R/o Kusumpur Pahari, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi, age 28 years is previously involved in case e-FIR No. 80015159/24, u/s 379/411/34 IPC, PS Vasant Kunj North, Delhi.

*RECOVERY:*
1. One stolen scooty
2. One illegal button actuated knife

1. E-MVT No. 18091/2024, u/s 379 IPC, PS Subhash Place, New Delhi.
