TEMPORARY MAID CONSPIRED HOUSETHEFT AT OWNER’S HOUSE IN JUNGPURA, LANDS IN POLICE NET WITH RECOVERY OF STOLEN JEWELLERY

    One lady thief arrested
    One jeweler (receiver) apprehended 
    Stolen items including gold jewellery and foreign currency notes recovered
    Cash Rs. 2.52 lacs recovered

The staff of PP Jungpura of Southeast District has arrested a lady thief Meenakshi and a jeweler (receiver) Pramod Gupta. With his apprehension, cash Rs. 2.52 lacs, 05 gold bangles, one gold chain, two gold pendants, one pair of ear rings and 13 foreign currency notes have been recovered from their possession.

INCIDENT:-

On 21.06.25, a case e-FIR No. 80058993/25 u/s 306 BNS was registered at PS HN Din regarding a theft incident that took place in a house in Jungpura Extn. The complainant alleged that she had hired a temporary maid few days ago. On 21.06.25, her maid didn’t come to her house for her duties. The complainant also found that her jewellery was stolen by somebody. Subsequently, the investigation of the case was taken up.

TEAM & OPERATION:-

Sensing the gravity of offence, a dedicated team comprising SI Arun I/C PP Jungpura, SI Paras, HC Kulvind, HC Ravinder, Ct Karan and W/Ct Vandana was constituted under the leadership of Insp Pankaj Kumar SHO/HN Din and supervision of Sh. Mihir Sakaria ACP/Lajpat Nagar to resolve this case. The team worked diligently by reviewing CCTV footages of that vicinity where the incident took place. The team on suspicion traced the maid Meenakshi and went to her house located in Ghaziabad. After grueling interrogation, the maid Meenakshi admitted that she had stolen the jewelry of the complainant. She revealed that she had sold that jewelry to a jeweler Pramod Gupta in Bhogal. The team went to his shop and apprehended him. Stolen 05 gold bangles, one gold chain, two gold pendants and one pair of ear rings were recovered from his shop. At the instance of accused Meenakshi, cash Rs. 2.52 lacs which she had received from the jeweler in lieu of the jewelry sold to him was recovered from her house. In addition, stolen 13 foreign currency notes were also recovered from her possession.  Further investigation of the case is in progress.    

INTERROGATION:-

    On sustained interrogation, it was revealed that the accused had committed that incident in a greed to earn huge bounty. As she was there only for a temporary period and was to be replaced by the permanent one, she thought it to be the best time to break into the locker of her owner and steal valuables.

RECOVERY:-

1.    Cash Rs. 2.52 lacs
2.     05 gold bangles
3.     One gold chain
4.     Two gold pendants
5.    One pair of ear rings
6.    13 foreign currency notes

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON:-

1.Accused Meenakshi w/o Dinesh R/o Loni, Ghaziabad age 37 years used to work as housekeeper at the complainant’s residence. No previous involvement has been found against her.
2.Accused Pramod Gupta s/o Padam Chand R/o Bhogal, Delhi age 65 yrs runs a jewelry shop in Bhogal. No previous involvement has been found against him.
