🚨 *POLICE STATION: ANTI AUTO THEFT SUQAD, OUTER DISTRICT* 🚨

In accordance with the directions of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Outer District, a dedicated team from the Anti Auto Theft Squad comprising ASI Vijay, HC Deepak, Ct. Aryadeep and Ct. Avnish was formed and deployed under the leadership of Inspector Rajpal, I/C AATS under the supervision of Sh. Narender Khatri, ACP/Operations.

▶️ *OPERATION AND INTERROGATION:*

On 23rd June 2025, during a routine patrol, the Anti-Auto Theft Squad received a credible tip-off regarding a person in possession of illegal arms who had also posted photos on social media. The suspect was expected to arrive at the Mangolpuri underpass.

Acting swiftly on the information, the team reached the location and spotted a suspicious individual. Upon noticing the police presence, the suspect attempted to flee. However, due to the prompt and coordinated action of the team, he was successfully apprehended and later identified as Virat.

During a cursory search, one country-made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from his possession. Further investigation revealed that he was previously involved in five other criminal cases. He was last released from jail in December 2024. After his release, he came into contact with 'J' who allegedly provided him the weapon and was involved in recording videos featuring illegal firearms.

Accordingly, a case was registered at Police Station Raj Park vide FIR No. 363/2025 under Sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act.

The accused was arrested and the recovered firearm along with the live cartridges was seized.
