With the arrest of one accused, Manoj Chauhan S/o Harbansh, R/o E-Block, Shakurpur, Delhi; permanent resident of District Chandoli, Uttar Pradesh; age 39 years), the team of PS Subhash Place has successfully solved two burglary cases registered under e-FIR No. 80048149/25 and 80048204/25, both under Sections 305 and 331(4) of the BNS.
From his possession, the following stolen property has been recovered: ₹4,500 in cash, one laptop with charger, five ATM cards, one camera with charger, two iPhones, one temple, and one bag containing stationery items.
During interrogation, the accused revealed that he began committing thefts in a desperate attempt to earn easy money for the medical treatment of his daughter, who is suffering from cancer. Manoj Chauhan has been identified as a first-time offender with no prior criminal record.
Brief Facts & Incident Details:-
On 21.05.2025, a case was registered at PS Subhash Place vide e-FIR No. 80048149/25 under Sections 305 and 331(4) of the BNS, based on a complaint filed by Manish Kangra (S/o Sadan Lal Kangra, R/o Sanjay Nagar, Gulabi Bagh, Delhi).
In his statement, the complainant reported that he works as a Manager at KGN Ventures Pvt. Ltd., located at Aggarwal Corporate Heights, NSP, Pitampura. He stated that on 20.05.2025, he closed the office at around 7:00 PM, and upon returning the next day at approximately 9:00 AM, he found the office backdoor broken. Upon inspection, he discovered that several valuable items were missing from the premises.
*Team & Investigation:-*
In view of the sensitivity of the case, a dedicated team from PS Subhash Place, led by Inspector Mahesh Kumar Kasana, SHO/Subhash Place, and comprising HC Manoj Kumar, HC Pramod Kumar, and Ct. Naresh Kumar, was constituted under the close supervision of Sh. Shailendra Singh Chauhan, ACP/Subhash Place. The team was tasked with apprehending the accused persons.
The investigation team conducted a thorough review of CCTV footage from cameras installed in and around the crime scene to identify the culprits. Simultaneously, local sources were engaged to gather actionable intelligence, and multiple raids were conducted at various suspected hideouts. Through sustained and coordinated efforts, the investigation was able to narrow down the suspects to two individuals. Acting on the intelligence gathered, the team successfully apprehended one suspect from E-Block, Shakurpur, Delhi.
The accused was identified as Manoj Chauhan (S/o Harbansh, R/o E-Block, Shakurpur, Delhi; permanent resident of District Chandoli, Uttar Pradesh; age 39 years). During interrogation, the accused confessed to his involvement in the current case as well as in another burglary case registered under e-FIR No. 80048204/25, U/s 305/331(4) BNS, dated 21.05.2025 at PS Subhash Place.
Based on his disclosure, the following stolen property was recovered:
• ₹4,500 in cash
• One laptop with charger
• Five ATM cards
• One camera with charger
• Two iPhones
• One Pooja temple
• One bag containing stationery items
Upon verification, Manoj Chauhan was found to be a novice criminal with no prior criminal record.
Further investigation is underway to ascertain his possible involvement in other similar cases.
