The state government transferred seven IPS officers

The state government transferred seven IPS officers . Jitendra Rana, a 2005 batch IPS officer who recently returned from central deputation, has been made the new Inspector General of Police (IG) of Central Zone, Patna. Jitendra Rana is known as a sharp IPS officer and has also handled the responsibility of Patna SSP before this.

Garima Malik, who was handling the responsibility of Patna IG till now, has been made the new IG of Surveillance Investigation Bureau. Rakesh Rathi, IG of Technical Services and Communication, has been given the responsibility of IG of Special Branch. At the same time, IG of Surveillance Investigation Bureau S Premlatha has been made IG of Technical Services and Communication.
The Home Department has issued a notification related to this on Monday. Siwan Superintendent of Police (SP) has also been changed. Manoj Kumar Tiwari, who was SP of Crime Investigation Department (CID), has been given the responsibility of new SP of Siwan. Amitesh Kumar, who was holding the post of Siwan SP till now, has been made SP (Security) of Special Branch. SP cum Assistant Director of Bihar Police Academy, Rajgir, K Ramdas has been made CID SP. Before this, on 14 June, the state government had transferred 1.5 dozen IPS officers. Along with the capital Patna, SSPs of Jehanabad, Jamui, Samastipur, Purnia and Supaul districts were changed. Muzaffarpur has also got a new city and rural SP. Avkash Kumar was removed from the post of Patna SSP (Senior Superintendent of Police) and made the Commandant of Bihar Special Armed Police-1, Patna. Kartikeya K Sharma, who was the SP of Purnia, was given a big responsibility and made the new SSP of Patna(.rr)
