Shocking, a 20-year-old College Student was Brutally Gangraped by 3 youths at Gopalpur Beach,  in front of her male friend who was held captive by 7 other associates of the prime accused, which has sent shockwaves in Odisha.

The police arrested all the 10 suspects. Out of the 10 accused, 6 are adults and 4 are juveniles, all juveniles are around 17 years old, sent to Juvenile Justice Board.

Brahmapur SP Sarvana Vivek M says, "On Sunday evening, a 20-year-old woman and her male friend, who is also her classmate, visited Gopalpur beach. The 10 youths captured the male friend and picked up the woman and were taken to an isolated place at around 8.30. Three of the accused persons raped her when the remaining  7 were held the male friend... As soon as they left them after 10 pm, both the victims reached the police station and reported the crime at around 11 pm... The police arrested 7 suspects immediately,.. the remaining 3 accused were arrested later... and the FIR was registered. Out of the 10 accused, 6 are adults and 4 are juveniles... All juveniles are around 17 years old. We will make efforts so that the juveniles are treated as adults... We will try to get the maximum punishment for all..."
