In a proactive initiative to ensure public safety and curb harassment in public spaces, the Shishtachar Squad of Outer District Police conducted a dedicated awareness drive at Peeragarhi Bus Stop and along Bus Route No. 879 (Janakpuri to Shahbad Dairy), focusing on women’s safety and anti-eve teasing sensitisation.

The campaign was strategically carried out along, which operates between Janakpuri and Shahbad Dairy, a high-footfall route frequently used by women commuters. The squad interacted with passengers, especially female commuters, educating them about their rights, safety helplines, and how to seek immediate police assistance in case of harassment.

Officers of the Shishtachar Squad briefed the public on laws related to eve teasing, stalking and harassment and encouraged bystanders to intervene safely or report such incidents without fear.

Pamphlets containing helpline numbers (like 112 and women helpline 1091), tips for staying safe and QR codes to download safety apps were distributed among the public.

The Outer District Police reaffirmed their commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against harassment and assured continued action in high-density areas across the city.
