-Educational Visit by Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School to Police Station Paschim Vihar West
In a proactive initiative to enhance community engagement and promote civic awareness among students, the Community Policing Cell of Outer District organized an educational visit for 50 students from Government Girls Senior Secondary School to Police Station Paschim Vihar West. The visit was part of the Delhi Police’s ongoing efforts to build positive relationships with the younger generation and to foster a culture of lawfulness, responsibility, and trust in law enforcement institutions.
👮♂️ *BEHIND THE BADGE: A COMPREHENSIVE STATION TOUR* 👮♀️
The students were given a guided tour of various departments within the police station, including:
👉 *Reporting Room*: Where complaints and FIRs are registered.
👉 *Control Room*: Demonstrating how emergency calls are managed.
👉 *Cyber Cell & Surveillance Unit*: Showcasing use of technology in crime prevention.
👉 *Malkhana (Evidence Room)*: Educating students about the procedure of evidence storage.
👉 *Lock-up and Detention Area*: With explanations on rights of detainees and the legal process.
Officers explained the structured workflow of a police station, the coordination between different branches, and how investigations are conducted. Students were also briefed about the role of the police in upholding law and order, preventing crime, and ensuring community safety.
💬 *TALK, TRUST, AND TEAMWORK: INTERACTIVE SESSION WITH POLICE OFFICERS*
Following the tour, an interactive session was held in the community hall of the police station. The session included:

👉Discussion on Rights and Responsibilities of Citizens
👉Safety Tips, especially for Young Girls and School Students
👉Cyber Safety Awareness
👉Awareness about the Role of Police Helplines (like 112, 1091, 181)
Police officers encouraged students to speak openly, ask questions and share their perceptions. The officers also emphasized the importance of mutual respect, gender sensitivity, discipline, and the legal consequences of juvenile delinquency.
