In accordance with the directions issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Outer District, all field staff have been thoroughly briefed and sensitized to maintain vigilance across their respective areas of responsibility. Emphasis has been laid on proactive policing measures to ensure the maintenance of law and order, as well as to safeguard the safety and security of citizens within the jurisdiction of the Outer District.

▶️ *OPERATION AND INTERROGATION:*

On 01st July 2025, during routine patrolling duty, the police team comprising Head Constable Dalveer and Ct. Ravi from Police Station Nihal Vihar was present at Nala Road, near SDM Public School, Chander Vihar, they noticed an individual riding a motorcycle in a suspicious and erratic manner. When signaled to stop, the rider attempted to flee by turning in the opposite direction. Acting swiftly, the team initiated a chase and successfully intercepted the individual. Upon questioning, he was identified as Harjeet @ Lovvy.

The rider failed to produce any valid documents for the motorcycle he was riding. Upon verification through ZIPNET, it was revealed that the motorcycle had been reported stolen in e-FIR No. 13347/25, registered under Section 305(b) BNS at Police Station KN Katju Marg. It was also found that the accused had changed the registration number plate of the motorcycle.

Furthermore, one mobile phone was also recovered from his possession. When questioned about the ownership of the device, he failed to provide satisfactory reply. On verification, the mobile phone was found to be linked to e-FIR No. 80042754/25, dated 01.05.2025, under Section 303(2) BNS, registered at PS Ranjit Nagar.

During further questioning, it was revealed that Harjeet had just crossed 18 years of age. About four months ago, when he was a juvenile, a stolen motorcycle  was also recovered from his possession.

The accused person was arrested and the recovered case properties were seized.
