✳️ *ORGANIZED CRIME SYNDICATE BUSTED IN SAGARPUR AREA BY THE TEAM OF AATS, SOUTH WEST DISTRICT*

✳️ *ONE BOOTLEGGER/ILLICIT LIQUOR SELLER/ACTIVE BC OF PS SAGARPUR & SIX GAMBLERS ARRESTED FROM SAGARPUR AREA*

✳️ *TOTAL 75 QUARTERS OF DESI ILLICIT LIQUOR, 22 BOTTLES OF BAD MONKEY BEER RECOVERED.*

✳️ *TOTAL STAKE MONEY Rs. 31,210/-, 03 SMALL NOTEPAD WITH BETTING DETAILS, 05 SMALL NOTEPAD BLANK, 01 CARBON & 01 BALL PEN RECOVERED*

       A team of AATS, South West district has busted a syndicate of organized crime operated under the jurisdiction of PS Sagarpur, arresting 01 bootlegger & 06 Gamblers namely *1. Roop Singh @ Rupa Pradhan, 2. Amit Kumar, 3. Suresh, 4. Vishwash, 5. Raju Sharma & 6. Kishan Sharma.* With their arrest, 75 quarters of desi illicit liquor, 22 bottles of bad monkey beer, total stake money Rs. 31,210/-, 03 small notepad with betting details, 05 small notepad blank, 01 carbon & 01 ball pen were recovered from their possession.

*INCIDENT, TEAM AND OPERATION:* 
      To curb the organized crime like gambling, supply/sell of illicit liquor in the area of South-West District, team of AATS, South-West District was specifically directed to develop key inputs regarding spots of organized crime and to take action against the persons indulged in organized crime. The team initiated sincere efforts by sensitizing local informers and collecting human intelligence.

    In the intervening night of 01/02.07.2025, secret information was received regarding the sale of illicit liquor and betting in Sagarpur area. On receipt of the information, a dedicated team comprising of SI Ved Prakash, ASI Praveen, ASI Jaipal, ASI Vinod Kumar, W/ASI Sandhya, ASI Dharmender Kumar, HC Mohit, HC Prashant, HC Devender, HC Manoj Moral, HC Ravinder and HC Hariom was constituted under the leadership of Insp. Ram Kumar, I/C AATS/SWD and under the guidance of Sh. Vijay Kumar, ACP/Operations to act swiftly. The team developed the information and a raid was conducted at RZ G-46 West Sagarpur, Delhi where total 75 quarters of fresh Santra Masaledar Deshi sharab (for sale in Haryana only) and 22 Bad Monkey Beer have been recovered from the first floor of house of Roop Singh @ Rupa Pradhan. The recovered illicit liquor was seized. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 255/2025, u/s 33 Delhi Excise Act was registered at PS Sagarpur, Delhi & accused Roop Singh @ Rupa Pradhan R/o RZ G-46 West Sagarpur, Delhi, Age 62 years was arrested in the case.

       At the same premises at Ground Floor, five persons were found indulged in gambling. Total six persons namely 1. Roop Singh @ Rupa Pradhan R/o RZ G-46 West Sagarpur, Delhi, Age 62 years, 2. Amit Kumar R/o RZ -46 G Block West Sagarpur, Delhi, Age 30 years, 3. Suresh R/o 5/10 near Anganwari Sagarpur, Age 60 years, 4. Vishwash R/o RZ G-44 West Sagarpur, Delhi, Age 38 years, 5. Raju Sharma R/o RZ G-74/75E West Sagarpur, Delhi, Age 45 years & 6. Kishan Sharma R/o RZ-6B Gali No 7 West Sagarpur, Delhi, Age 45 years have been apprehended. Total stake money Rs. 31210/-, 03 Small notepad with betting details, 05 small notepad blank, 01 Carbon & 01 Ball pen have been recovered from their possession. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 254/2025, u/s 3/4/5 Delhi Public Gambling Act was registered at PS Sagarpur, Delhi and investigation was taken up. Strict legal action has been initiated against all the offenders apprehended.

*PROFILE OF ACCUSED ARRESTED:* 
1. Accused Roop Singh @ Rupa Pradhan R/o West Sagarpur, Delhi, Age 62 years was born and brought up in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. He has studied upto 7th class. He came to Delhi 30 years ago & started residing in Sagarpur area. He started selling illicit liquor in the area. He also used to play betting at his house mentioned above. Accused Roop Singh @ Rupa Pradhan is an active BC of PS Sagarpur. His wife Nirmala and his daughter-in-law Ganga were externed from the Delhi as they are habitual of selling illicit liquor. The accused Roop Singh @ Rupa Pradhan is found previously involved in 02 cases of illicit liquor selling.
2. Accused Amit Kumar R/o West Sagarpur, Delhi, Age 30 years is previously involved in one case of Gambling Act.
3. Accused Suresh R/o Sagarpur, Age 60 years is Ex-Constable in BSF & had left the job during the Kargil War. His court marshal was conducted.
4. Accused Vishwash R/o West Sagarpur, Delhi, Age 38 years is previously involved in one case of Gambling Act.
5. Accused Raju Sharma R/o West Sagarpur, Delhi, Age 45 years.
6. Accused Kishan Sharma R/o West Sagarpur, Delhi, Age 45 years.

*RECOVERY:*
1. Total 4 cartons containing 75 quarters of Desi illicit liquor & 22 bottles of Bad monkey beer.
2. Total stake money Rs. 31,210/-
3. Gambling items including 03 small notepad with betting details, 05 small notepad blank, 01 Carbon & 01 Ball pen.
