ONE ILLEGAL LIQUOR TRANSPORTER NABBED WITH ILLEGALLY-SOURCED LIQUOR CONSIGNMENT BY TEAM OF ANTI-NARCOTICS CELL, CENTRAL DISTRICT — ILLICIT LIQUOR & VEHICLE SEIZED

•    ONE ILLEGAL LIQUOR TRANSPORTER ARRESTED BY THE TEAM OF ANTI NARCOTICS CELL, CENTRAL DISTRICT 
•    1000 QUARTERS (20 CARTONS) OF ILLEGAL LIQUOR RECOVERED
•    VEHICLE USED IN SUPPLY I.E., RITZ CAR ALSO CONFISCATED.
•    ACCUSED HAS 3 PREVIOUS CASES UNDER DELHI EXCISE ACT
•    LIQUOR PROCURED FROM HARYANA FOR ILLEGAL SALE IN DELHI.

A focused crackdown has been launched against the illegal supply and sale of liquor in Central District. In one such operation, a dedicated team of police officials of Anti-Narcotics cell arrested a bootlegger Vikas. 
A credible information was received that Vikas, would be transporting a large consignment of illicit liquor in a Ritz car to supply within Delhi.

Upon this tip-off, a swift and well-coordinated raiding team was constituted, and a trap was laid.

TEAM & OPERATION:
A raiding team was constituted under the supervision of Inspector Ashish K. Dubey and overall guidance of ACP Operations Sh Subhash Malik, comprising SI Pankaj Kumar, SI Monu, SI Iftikhar, ASI Rajiv Tyagi, ASI Sunil, ASI Satish, ASI Sudhir, HC Rahul, HC Pradeep, HC Sachin, HC Manish, HC Rajiv, HC Karnal, HC Anuj, HC Dilshad, CT Rajesh, CT Deepak, CT Bhagirath.

Acting swiftly, the Anti-Narcotics Cell team laid a trap and intercepted the vehicle. A total of 20 cartons (1000 quarters) of illicit desi liquor branded “Santra Masaledaar” was recovered and seized on the spot.

The accused was arrested and identified as Vikas, resident of Village Hiran Kudna near Shiv Mandir, Delhi. On sustained interrogation, he confessed to illegally transporting and selling liquor. He further disclosed that the recovered consignment was procured from the godown of Dalbir in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, and was being supplied to a person named Sandeep of Ranholla, Delhi. The accused admitted to taking interior routes to avoid police detection and pickets.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 264/25 u/s 33/58 Delhi Excise Act was registered at PS DBG Road, and further investigation is in progress to identify the entire supply chain and other associates involved.

ACCUSED ARRESTED:
1.    Vikas R/o Village Hiran Kudna, near Shiv Mandir, Delhi Age-27 years


He has been previously involved in 03 cases under the Excise Act, registered at PS Baba Haridas Nagar (02 Cases) and PS Mundka (01 Case)

RECOVERY:
1. 1000 quarters (20 cartons) of illicit desi liquor – Santra Masaledaar
2. One Ritz car used for transportation
