ONE HELD BY THE VIGILANT STAFF PS JAITPUR FOR BEING INDULGED IN AUTO LIFTING, ONE MOTORCYCLE RECOVERED

    One auto lifter arrested 
    One stolen motorcycle recovered
    
The staff of PS Jaitpur of Southeast District has arrested one auto lifter Anand Mehta. With his arrest, one stolen motorcycle has been recovered from his possession.

INCIDENT:-

On 01.07.25, the complainant Mr. Vinod Kumar visited PS Jaitpur to lodge a complaint wherein he stated that someone had stolen his motorcycle which he had parked on Ismailpur road. A case e-FIR No. 018026/25 u/s 305(b) BNS was registered at PS Jaitpur and investigation of the case was taken up.

TEAM AND OPERATION:-

Sensing the gravity offence, a dedicated crack team comprising HC Surender and Ct Ravinder led by Insp. Sunil Kumar SHO/Jaitpur was constituted to nab the culprits. The team immediately swung into action and analyzed the CCTV footages of the cameras installed at the entry/exit points of locality. Following the trail of a number of CCTV footages, the team located the route of the accused person and ultimately reached in Ekta Vihar, Jaitpur wherein the stolen motorcycle was found standing outside his home. The team at once arrested him from his residence. On enquiry, he was identified as Anand Mehta s/o Pawan Mehta R/o Ekta Vihar, Jaitpur, Delhi age 25 yrs. During the course of investigation, he confessed his crime. With his arrest, one stolen motorcycle was recovered from his possession. Further investigation of the case is under progress.

INTERROGATION:-

On sustained interrogation, accused Anand Mehta disclosed that he had stolen that motorcycle to avail for himself a vehicle on which he could execute snatchings. In fact, he committed a snatching incident in the area of PS Sarita Vihar a few days ago by using that motorcycle.

RECOVERY:-

1. One motorcycle

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSON:-

1.    Accused Anand Mehta s/o Pawan Mehta R/o Ekta Vihar, Jaitpur, Delhi age 25 yrs is a habitual criminal. He used to work as a helper in a garments company. He is previously involved in 06 cases of Arms Act and theft.
