✳️ *ONE COUNTRY MADE PISTOL (DESI KATTA) WITH ONE LIVE CARTRIDGE & SCOOTY USED IN THE OFFENCE RECOVERED FROM THEIR POSSESSION*

     The staff of PS Kishangarh, South West District had arrested one accused namely *Wahar Ahmed @ Ballu R/o Munirka Village, Delhi, Age 22 years* & one CCL “S” was apprehended in a firing case. With their apprehension, one country made pistol with one live cartridge and one scooty used in the offence were recovered from their possession.

*INCIDENT, TEAM AND OPERATION:*
      On 04.07.2025 at about 06:33 AM, a PCR call was received at PS Kishangarh, reporting an incident of firing by two unknown boys near the Zepto store located at Munirka. The caller also informed that no one had sustained any injuries and the act was reportedly captured in the nearby CCTV camera. Upon receipt of the information, police staff immediately reached the spot and initiated enquiry. CCTV footage installed at Zepto store was obtained and thoroughly examined. During the analysis of CCTV footage, two persons were seen approaching the Zepto store on a scooty, where they were observed pelting stones at the store. One of the persons was further seen holding and displaying a firearm-like object, suspected to be a desi katta, while seated on the scooty. After committing the act, all persons fled from the spot. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 171/25 u/s 25/27 Arms Act r/w 324(2)/ 351(2)/3(5) BNS was registered at PS Kishangarh, Delhi & investigation was taken up.

      Sensing the gravity of the crime, a dedicated team comprising of SI Prem Prakash, HC Mukesh Kumar, HC Manish, HC Parveen, Ct. Kewlino, Ct. Sandeep and Ct. Dharmendra was constituted under the leadership of Insp. Rajiv Kumar, Inspector Investigation/PS Kishangarh and under the supervision of Sh. Ranbir Singh, ACP/S.J. Enclave to crack the case. Efforts were made to trace out the accused persons with the help of CCTV footage. During the course of investigation, the search of the accused was made in all possible manners and based on local intelligence inputs and CCTV footage, one accused namely Wahar Ahmed @ Ballu R/o Munirka Village, Delhi, Age 22 years was apprehended. During interrogation, he confessed to his involvement in the incident. At his instance, one CCL identified as “S” was also apprehended for his role in the incident.

        During detailed examination, both disclosed that on the night of 03.07.2025, they consumed alcohol in the company of their friend Dhruv. During the drinking session, Dhruv expressed his resentment and anger alleging that certain boys working at the Zepto store had been misbehaving with and passing inappropriate comments at Wahar Ahmed’s sister on a daily basis. Agitated by this, the three conspired to retaliate against the staff of the Zepto store in drunk condition. In furtherance of their plan, the following morning of 04.07.2025, Wahar and CCL reached the store on a scooty and Dhruv on foot pelted stones and both displayed a firearm as an act of intimidation and revenge. The weapon used in the offence i.e. country made pistol along with scooty used in the offence has been recovered and seized as case property. Efforts have been made to trace Dhruv, but he is still at large.

*PROFILE OF ACCUSED ARRESTED:*
1. Accused Wahar Ahmed @ Ballu R/o Munirka Village, Delhi, Age 22 years works as delivery boy of drinking water. He is presently studying in BA Programme 2nd Year from Aurobindo College, Adchini through open.
2. CCL “S” is presently studying in class 10th. His father is living separately from his mother in native place at Jamui Bihar. Her mother works as house maid cook. He was also apprehended in FIR No. 199/2023 u/s 307/34 IPC, PS Kishangarh on 13.05.2023.

*RECOVERY:*
1. One country made pistol (Desi katta) with one live cartridge.
2. One scooty used in the offence.

    Further investigation is under progress.
